First off the game kept crashing at startup, I disabled spacial sound and the game now loads but I only have sound during the cut scenes. There is no sound when I race.
Are you using headphones at all? Are you using the Realtek Audio? Are those drivers up to date. Have you tried to disable the enhancements and then restart your PC and launch the demo again?
for those wondering how to fix the static/distortion, change your audio bitrate from 44100Hz to 48000Hz, idk why this fixes it but it fixes it lol
Unbelievable, Troubleshoot your PC’s!!! Please make some effort before blaming the game. No problem’s my PC. Zero, ever, running any Forza game and it is 4 yrs old. It is not the game 90% of the time. Audio not good? Than you look at your audio settings. You try a few things. This has been part of being a PC gamer since the beginning. I’m sorry but this has been going on since Forza Apex.
Turn 10 please get a PC support team that people can call. What game company that makes PC games has no customer call center or live chat at least. You would get more sales instead of alienating the PC community. You need to get on these PC’s with remote software to see what is going on or this will never stop. It is the only way to find what exactly is causing these problems so you know in the future and can tell people how to fix it. Whatever you are doing it is not working. I have worked in IT for 18 years and I have seen a lot of strange stuff. The same problems over and over and over again get posted. Call Microsoft whom you are a part of to set something up. It’s time now, you are out of beta phase making PC games. I really thought bringing PC gamers into the mix would help but it is the total opposite.
Sorry again but something needs to be said. You always say that you want feedback good or bad so I am giving it to you. In the end I think it will help. I am no trying to be malicious or anything but these problems obviously are not going away. You are doing this the hard way.
How about you not bash the person with the issue. The audio problem is wide spread on PC and it existed during the beta. This is not a component issue this is an issue with the game itself. There are multiple posts with “fixes” for getting audio back in the game, and not just the cut scenes. After trying all of these myself I was able to get sound in my game. The next day there was a windows update and the day after there was an update for Forza Horizon. Now I am back to not having audio again and the same “fixes” that worked before do not work now.
Turn 10 is not a large enough company to provide support for these issues. This game was likely rushed by Microsoft to have a shiny new AAA racing title for the Xbox One X. Turn 10 has little experience making Forza games for the PC. I have played every Forza game with the exception of the first Forza Motorsports. There have been issues with each game, but they are resolved in time. These issues are frustrating, but they will be fixed in the future.
I have the same problem, the game crash on logos when using headphones…if i disable spacial sound it starts buy with no sound. There’s no solution yet?
