So idk why but every time i try the demo on the PC version the sound goes all distorted and static-y idk how to explain it so I made a video showing me just going in the game starting it and driving a little just to show what I’m talking about.
Here are my PC specifications
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080Ti (11GB VRAM)
RAM: ADATA 16GB 2400MHz (2x8GB)
Monitor: ASUS VG278Q 27 Inch (1080p 144hz 1ms)
Alright found the issue, in your audio playback devices, go to your main audio source probably named “Speakers” then right click on it and go to properties, then go to Advanced and change the bitrate to 24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality), I had mine set to 44100 Hz and was pulling my hair out trying to find the problem lol
No, doesn’t work for me, unfortunately. Tried every setting, from 16 Bit 44 KHz, to 24 Bit 48 KHz and up to 32 Bit 192 KHz. Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium. Please help, I can’t enjoy that game.
You could also try making sure all enhancements are disabled, allow applications to take exclusive control and give exclusive mode applications priority. I had a problem where the only in-game sound was when a cinematic played. There would be no engine sound or music unless a cinematic played; turning these settings on resolved the problem. The sound does seem to have quite a few bugs in general to be honest.
Have that sound card as well and also have crackling sound, if I switch the audio to the motherboard realtek chipset where I have my headphones connected the issue is not present which makes me believe the game doesn’t go well with our creative sound cards… never had this problem before.
Just jumping in here. I have a Creative X-Fi Titanium and have the nast buzzing sound that is honestly a game breaker for me. I have nice headphones and a dedicated (but aging) sound card as I like my audio clean, yet it sound just like OP’s video.
I have reinstalled the demo twice now, and the sound works in the cutscenes, and then there is no sound at all in game, has anyone else had this problem ??? I mean its no big deal so long as it doesnt do it in the main game, cause that would suck !
Same crakling and distorted voice here, with X-FI Fatality. Using the spdif from my onboard sound at least has clean stereo, no real Dolby, shame on you…
By the way, please add a language changer in the options. I live in Germany, but I like to play my Games in the Original language, and changing the Windows language and region settings everytime to play this game just sucks.
Hi. Am tested 3 sound card and ONLY realtek on motherboard not suported sound in game.
Sound on graphic card to TV - OK
Sound on Creative {usb soundcard] - OK
Sound on SoundBlaster card - OK
Sound on Realtec on motherboard - not working…
