[PC] No HDR (working fine in demo) GTX 1080 and WIn 1803

Lastest 411 nvidia drivers
GTX 1080
Sony 75" z9D

Forza 4 demo and Halo Wars 2 works with HDR enabled in control panel of windows

Full Version of Forza 4 says “HDR display not detected”.

I have tried

Older drivers (399.xx)
RGB mode 8 mit
4:2:2 10-bit

Nothing

SOmeone else MUST have this same problem?

I have seen the problem a couple of times after upgrading to 1809, but simply restarting the game 2-3 times and the HDR display gets detected.

Yeah there are 2 issues

  1. Starting the game HDR is not detected. On my setup this can take 4-5 restarts
  2. IF using a gamepad, the whole HDR screen goes green. Need to do the YouTube fix (CNTRL AL DEL, Task manager, windows settings, diable HDR, enter game, repeat, enable HDR)

Really painful to keep it looking good. Not sure why this is so hard to keep HDR working.
