I haven’t played this game since last weekend. I see there was an October 10th update. I fired it up today and HDR was not working like before. I had also updated to the latest Nvidia driver. I rolled that back and still have the same issue. If I go under brightness settings it says “no HDR display detected”. I know in this update they also added a switch to turn HDR on and off. For me that switch doesn’t even have a label…
I assume this is for turning HDR on and off but when I turn it to “on” the display looks faded and washed out. As if the opposite of HDR. I’ve tried flipping the HDR and WGC windows setting. If I turn it off it makes no difference other than this mystery switch goes away. Far Cry 5 runs flawlessly in HDR every time. Also I tried submitting a ticket. However the link in the confirmation email I was sent was broken so… yeah.
Also had washed out image when turning on the in-game HDR switch after the update but I left it on then quit the game. Upon relaunching proper HDR kicked-in so you may give it a try. This is with Windows HDR turned on.
Where are you turn10, playground games and MS??? Where? Man up and give a grown up, official reply. Getting really really, REALLY angry. First you serve 1809 and for us, idiot N users there is no playing forza without media future pack. Ok. Rollback to 1803 after days of frustration. And now, HDR is not working, yet SOMEHOW it used to! Why? Are you even serious? I have a fulltime job. When I get home after 8 p.m. I simply need to run the game I payed 100 usd from my own wallet, yet SOMEHOW i couldn’t for OVER a week. Do you really mean this is normal? You advertize a feature and it is not working three weeks after release. So stop hiding, at least be honest with yourself, explain yourself or I’m gonna leave this bloody mess and get the money spent on something that gives relaxation and not anger!
