Thanks, I was wondering if it was happening with the AMD cards as well.
I tried my same test that I used before, clean start 50 laps, no problem. Start another 50 laps without restarting and problems start to appear early in the second race and by the end there are lots of textures having issues including sections of the road surface. Maybe the new drivers will help with something else but not the dropping textures.
I’m downloading it now. I’ll try the race on Daytona where I was able to reproduce the textures same as before or if anything has changed since the last one.
As for bathhurst I have ran several 7 lap races there without noticing any issue.
Yesterday that was the last race in a championship where I had already ran several other races before going to bathhurst. I saw some flickering later in the race but on the last lap it got pretty bad then I went off in the chicane and hit rewind and didn’t back up far enough so I went off again. Hit rewind two more times then resume and made the chicane but from there past the start line there was no track and very little else, was able to see some cones sticking up and was able to navigate to the finish line. When I hit continue the game hung on the blank screen that follows and I had to force close the game at that point. No credits or xp was awarded for the race.
That is so far the only time I have had an issue at bathurst but I am also pretty sure I have not ran a race of more than 7 laps there though I have ran 7 laps after running else where and previous races definitely seem to play a part in this issue. For example if I start the game and go straight to Daytona Oval in that FE GT-R I can get a full 50 laps before I see even a flicker of an issue. If however I have ran some races there or elsewhere before I go there then it happens sooner. The other day after putting in the then newest driver I had ran 12 career races, some on short some on long then went to Daytona and had issues the very first lap. Restarted and was able to do 50 without issue
Driver hasn’t really improved anything for me, my issue that I’ve had from day one is still there.
Game runs fine for the first 20 minutes then I get a stutter fest. Resetting the game gives me another 20 minutes of stutter free gameplay but then the stutter comes back again.
I hadn’t noticed the issues at Daytona until I did a night race on there yesterday, for me it seems the missing texture bug only happens on night races and this affects all three layouts.
Drivers work fine for me, but i did notice that it turned DSR on in Forza7 video settings for some reason, even when it’s turned off in nvidia control panel, so even when my max native resolution is 1920x1080 (I don’t have all that fancy 4k stuff), it was still set at 4k and lowered the performance for me.
I noticed this on Daytona Sportscar circuit. I think that it’s worse than it was before in this respect. I used to drop a couple of frames but now it seems worse. Though I hadn’t done a game quit and reset for a while…
Asus ROG Strix GTX1060 6GB OC edition, 3840x2160 @ 60fps vsync, all max settings, 100% resolution scale.
I can confirm there’s a substantial improvement with the new driver on my GTX 1080. Prior to today’s update, I’d get a minimum of 54 fps and an average of 78 fps in the benchmark mode at 4K maxed out. Now, I get a minimum of 66 fps and an average of 88.
This driver has made things much worse for me. Previously the game would work OK, crashing occasionally in menus. Now it crashes all the time, doing anything and sometimes I can’t get past the startup screen without it crashing. Going back to previous driver.
So I`m still getting textures to disappearing when rewinding. Also with rewind off textures starting to flicker and disappearing in longer races. Also when upgrading cars it slowly starts to stutter and at the end it crashes if you continue to look at parts. Tried on both systems Nvidia 980OC/ Nvidia 1080Ti on both systems i use 60fps 1920x1200 resolution, so no 4k.
