Well i didnt mean to be condescending but i think ddu and fresh drivers solved issue. I have to test it more.
Great to hear that! Hopefully that problem won’t happen again.
Actually scratch that, the problem is still there, doing two reinstall of drivers did not solve issue. I don’t know what is wrong, I never go over 3.8GB of Video RAM and when game hits like 7-7.5GB of RAM, the issue starts. Culprit is always dxgmms2.sys VidmmInterface. It always happens after few races (usually 5-6) and lowering settings doesn’t work whatsoever. This game is just broken. I’ve even moved game to other HDD and SSD, gave it whooping 30GB Pagefile (!) thinking it still lacks virtual memory and none of them solved issue. Graphics card is not issue either since every single other game works fine. I don’t understand why the heck this happens.
On 1050Ti here, with 16GB DDR3 memory on an old Dell XPS 8300…
I’ve found the dynamic settings to be mostly broken, strictly from the standpoint the on-the-fly video adjustments do more harm than good.
Locking to 60fps works great with additional manual settings for quality. Procedural foliage turned down to low because you can’t really see it anyways lol. Keep in mind, nVidia cards like v-sync, AMD cards don’t.
Sad the bug still exists that if you update your video driver, the settings reset back to dynamic so that is still an issue. Current nVidia drivers that I’m running are the latest 391 series.
FWIW I haven’t needed to mod the pagefile. But this game along with Win10 will eat up all of 8GB of memory and more if you have it. I had issues running only 8GB memory on the system and had to bump up to 16GB. System will top out anywhere from 10-12GB of memory usage on a 16GB system.
Had all kinds of problems with 8GB though. Tracks not loading completely or disappearing during a race. I think the game doesn’t do a fantastic job of releasing memory in a timely manner.
