[PC] Forza Horizon 4 Demo not co-operating with Bass Redirect

this is a strange one, since almost all of the posts opn the forum relating to audio refer to having none.

my problem is different.

essentially, i use a 5.1 receiver that receives a seperate subwoofer signal from my pc. in order for this to work correctly, the driver has to be configured to redirect frequencies below a certain threshold (below 80hz in this case) to the subwoofer.

every other application i have run follows this perfectly. Horizon 4 does not, meaning that my audio sounds miserable.

i tried connecting a headset to the audio adapter on my controller and it worked perfectly.

system specs:

Intel 4790k in a Gigabyte z97-x gaming 5
zotac AMP extreme gtx 1070
Samsung 970 EVO boot drive
Realtek Audio with additional “Creative X-Fi MB3” audio software (i think this may be the problem, but as stated i need this). unfortunately i already have the latest version of this installed (creative wont update it any further without money)

i am considering testing another creative sound card that i have, this has lower sound quality however.

Horizon 3 and Forza 7 work 100% perfectly.

i tried to capture the issue, but the capture plays back perfectly. however, i have managed to simulate it using the audio from the clip and editing it with audacity.
