hope you are doing well.
I have a problem, only when playing FH4…there is no Sound from the subwoofer.
I already tried the troubleshooting guide from here:
and changing settings from the audio driver.
Soundcard: SB Audigy FX with Logitech z607. It’s working great, execpt in FH4. All speakers are working, but no sound from subwoofer at all.
Bass redirection is activated, but it has no effect for FH4.
Weird thing is. The starting scene (with the PG, Turn10 and MS Studio logos) is working fine and sounds as it should, when the intro scene starts (with the Senna) all the bass is gone.
There is a mega-thread in both the FH4 and FM7 forums discussing this exact problem. I too game on a powerful 7.1 surround amp and these two games are an embarassment to my setup. I mostly enjoy playing Ride 3, AC and PCARS2 because the dymanic mixing on the cars/bikes relay a believable sense of power / piloting powerful machines.
I put down FM7 and FH4 after just a few minutes because the sound mixing gives me ear fatigue. It’s very disappointing because this was not an issue in FM6 or FH3.
Ehm, really?
I own my 5.1 system since a few days, before that I had a 7.1, too. Bud it’s really old and sound a bit crappy, plus I had a pulsating humming noise, which made me crazy.
With the old one, at least the sub worked, but with that new 5.1…no chance.
Anyways, thank you for your prompt reply. I think then I have to live with it and when starting FH4 switch to 2.1, which is meh…
Nope, I played FM1 or 2 on Xbox, yeeeeeaaaaars ago…and started on PC with FH4 and FM7. At first I was afraid, maybe FM7 has the same problems, but luckily (or strangely) that’s not the case.
Let’s hope it’s getting fixed with FH5.
