Well, this is a great start. Game freezes on main menu and CTD when I press start. Anyone got any ideas? I’m on latest windows version, drivers are up to date. Ive heard a few other people explaining the same issue on various forums.
i have same problem,but after restarting windows game run but only one time.
on the xbox one no problem e played very well
I’m on PC and the game runs fine for me. It did stutter and pause a few times whilst loading and there was one graphical glitch during that time but that could due to loading as my hard drive isn’t exactly new. The game itself runs well though, better than I expected. Also, that’s with a GTX970 and an old i7, so not I’m not exactly out at the top end.
I had this problem non-stop with Horizon 3 and now I have it with this demo. I can hear the audio but I only get a black screen. i7 6850K 3 GTX 980 (Tried SLi on and off) Crucial SSD, EVGA Supernova NEX 1500W PSU. Tried from my 20TB RAID array (10x 4TB WD Gold RAID 10 ) and my 850 Pro NVME SSD. No dice… If this is a hint of what’s to come I have no idea what to do.
Can everyone please make sure all your drivers are updated, reboot the computer after install if you haven’t? If you’re running MSI Afterburner, please fully close it and try launching the game again.
like what the d*mn hell. seriously though…I pre-ordered the ultimate edition so I hope this isnt whats to come

After last night windows update everything runs great now

Or maybe not, because I only play Forza titles on Windows 10 and rest of the games I run on my main OP-system, which is Windows 7, and therefore have not much experience in that. I have different kind of technical issues with F7 demo (FH3 and Apex have been running just fine).
It run ok on pc at default setting but playing on low graphics suck. When changing graphics option dynamic render quality to anything but low crashes to desk top. The window never pops up saying do you accept this change. Play on low suck xbox one looks good an runs great for the 5 races I did first off.
There seem to be alot of issues going on, not with the game itself but the “Xbox Live” apps / services / components in Windows 10 that is somehow corrupted and thats why alot of people can’t get past the “start screen” of FM7 Demo.
click right mouse button on start menu , “RUN” , type “services.msc” … scroll down the list and make sure that all the “Xbox” services are enabled.
You can also try the instructions from this post (originally found by another user on this forum).
I have to press alt+enter during the Turn 10 logo to go fullscreen before I press A at the start screen, otherwise if I do and the game auto fullscreens then it always CtD’s. Why the game cannot start in fullscreen I do not understand. Similar issue in FH3, though that was fixed.
I solved this by disabling microphone for F7 from privacy settings and by lowering my refresh rate to 60 hz.

I had the same issues but i solve the problem runing stock the GPU while playing this game i think if you have done an Overclock to the GPU with will cause this problem
