Option to uncensor censored music tracks

Forza Horizon 4 launched with uncensored music, but 6 months later we had an update that censored many music tracks, “bleeping” words like “God”, “Devil”, and various other words that some local cultures may find offensive. Forza Horizon 5 launched with a lot of music tracks pre-censored (One questions why appropriate songs weren’t chosen that didn’t require censoring, but here we are…)

SUGGESTION:

  1. Add an option in the settings to uncensor the music tracks. Songs are censored by default.

  2. Offer an “unlock key” for a small fee via DLC, so those who want uncensored music can opt-in by paying a small fee to download uncensored versions of the songs

As much as I like this concept, sadly it more than likely would never happen as the game is rated E for everyone. Having the ability to change it to uncensored music just wouldn’t work especially since it would be fairly easy to access for the younger. Thought I do not exactly agree with what is rated E for everyone anymore, its important to respect/understand that times are changing and it wont be like it used to be.

The only way this would work is if they would change their e for everyone rating in which just wont happen

That’s all well and good. The core game can still be rated as suitable for everyone. If we are opting-in to unlock the ability to uncensor the music tracks (most of which are censored only to remove words like “God” or “Devil” anyway), then that should surely be our prerogative? In Forza Horizon 4 there are some pretty laughable reasons for censoring certain songs.

I would gladly “opt-in” to uncensor the song tracks, and would gladly pay a small fee in order to do so.

A free DLC to uncensor the music would be good. The Saboteur was rated 13 or TV 14 but there’s DLC that made women in brothels topless, something that would have bumped the age rating up had it been in the base game. I wouldn’t pay to uncensor music, but I think we should have the option to uncensor it.
