open letter to turn 10........

Yeah I agree as well. Its still a great game, and still my favorite by far. Although I don’t really have a good feeling about them “finishing this game” or anything of the like. Anything that is going to be added to this game is gonna have to be bought whether it is track dlc or the like. I think we are really gonna have to wait for Forza 6 to see an up in content.

As for bugs and such they will eventually get to it. Once the figure out what the problem is and how to solve it they are quick in not only fixing the issue but explaining how they went about it.

Fully agree with the OP, so much hype before launch and now it has gone dead silent. Would have hoped for some more news from T10 what they are doing or have up their sleeves. I imported an xbox one from the UK with the sole purpose to play FM5.

What I don’t like about the way turn 10 acts is:
They always say that they always listen to what the gamer community wants but then instead they are doing nothing of what we want and what we ask of them.
For example: weather, night driving, gamers ask more cars - turn 10 gives only about 200, they made less tracks and then they want to sell it to us as DLC.
Why should we pay extra for things that should be included in the game anyway?
I have played Forza 1, 2, 3, 4, Horizon and now 5, and I think that this is the last Forza I’ll play and I’ll just wait for Project Cars, Because there’s a limit to just how much you can disrespect the gamers who buy your games and pay your salary.

+1 To the OP for the above quote.

It would be nice to get some feedback from T10 as to what maybe or may not be fixed, or to what might be in the pipe line for the future of Forza 5 apart from the Car DLC’s that will be coming.

Indeed the lack of information on game updates tracks/car packs ect in my view in damaging the game unless there are no more tracks updates coming

Guys I agree with what you are saying 100%. They could bank some really good PR if they were more open about things pre release and would communicate better post release. Honestly I feel they were down right shady pre release with their “hundreds” of cars comments. Yeah they gave us just enough cars to not have a false advertising suit against them but that’s it. I think most of us knew it was going to be that way. Had they just come out and said 200 cars they would have at least got some points for honesty. However the post release silence is deafening. I’m enjoying the game, but career mode blows and not many of my friends got it because it was so stripped out so multiplayer isn’t going to last long either.

Why not tell us if more tracks are coming? Will we have to pay for them? How much will they be? What else are they working on? Trying to fix? etc. Communication is the key with any relationship and that includes relationship with customers.

I don’t want to think this way but I can’t help but wonder if they aren’t sitting back and laughing at us. “oh man can you believe they bought it and are shelling out all that money for the DLC cars that were in the last game? Man what a bunch of suckers our fans are.” I could totally see that in a modern American company where greed and money rule all. It’s all setting a dangerous precedent. Yeah everyone keeps saying the next Forza will have more tracks, cars, etc, but will it? Will they tell us if it doesn’t? Maybe they just say “more cars and tracks then FM5” but they give us like one more track and five more cars then everyone pre orders and finds out they played their same old tricks. I could see it happening. They now know they can strip out a game and you’ll pay to get all those old things back so why not keep doing it? They make more money that way.

lots of issues to little time. stopped playing forza to post online. Do I need to say anymore?

I’d trade Prague and Bernese Alps in a heart beat if it meant Nurburgring being back int he game.

I spent almost half my Forza 4 playtime on that track. The game just doesn’t feel complete without it.

blah blah blah…carry on

i know something you dont know
p.s. if you spent all that money on an unfinished game…that is 100% your own fault for not finding out he details before ya spent the money

I can’t believe you are still acting in this way and repeating the same childlike responses to peoples worries and doubts about Forza 5, how is it 100% our own fault we paid for an unfinished game? Turn 10 told us so little as to what was and what wasn’t in the game, we didn’t find out most things until we booted up the game on Day One, you were invited to the studios and got your copy of the game for free, so it’s easy for you to be flippant and take the moral high ground all the time, stop trolling the new forums and let people voice their opinions, I thangu

This was not a good way to respond CARDO

Mimic, please, we really don’t need that right now either.

100% agree.
Maybe they could afford that attitude while everything was fine and shiney, but right now it isnt, the situation asks for better communication. Just like you said, none of the issues with Forza 5 are a big deal for me, but the silence is. I dont even need good news, I just want to know whats going on, if there are new tracks coming or not, if they work on fixing bugs or not, etc…

Turn10 owes me nothing, but I find it a bit disrespectful to be fed with shallow promotion slogans instead of solid, honest info.
Tbh., for the first time since Forza1 I am a bit angry with them

I understand its a huge company, and strongly tied to MS as well, so I dont expect them to light-heartedly burp out infos like smaller Devs can do.
But having at least one guy at the office who has a good picture of whats going on and the permission to speak to us relatively freely isn`t asked to much imo.

was really hard deciding whether to go with the ps4 or thw X1, so i went with the xbox since i love forza, i basically bought the xbox just for forza just like many here have, so i think we do deserve some answers.

“Dead silent” isn’t exactly what is happening. Each Friday in the Week In Review (link under COMMUNITY/NEWS at the top of each forum page) Turn 10 says what’s going on. The Community Director has posted (old forum) when a release is coming, in addition to other posts and Facebook/Twitter information.

IF Turn 10 were spending their time of these forums talking about issues, they’re be attacked for spending all their time posting instead of fixing things. Give them a little credit for acknowledging issues, and working on fixes.

Sorry, but the “Week In Review” rather feels like mocking us, I am looking for “Next Month In Preview”.
Right now it covers the DLC patch after it was released and the Forum change (which hasnt much to do with the game anyway) a few days before it happend. What about a statement about Nordschleife? Turn10 knows as well as we do it was rumored to release in January, yet 23 days in we dont even know if its real. Thats basicly torture! Would it hurt to give us a yes, no, later?

i paid a 100$ for this game, i feel like I’m at least owed a release date for Nordshliefe (if its even coming) instead of all this bloody secrecy. we spent the money, we should be entitled to info on whats going on, whether issues will be fixed and what not

I could not have put it better myself, Turn 10 if you are reading this, PLEASE make this the game it deserves to be, complete!
