Only 450 tunes can be saved when the game has 500 Cars

Making this topic to shed light on the situation that tuners have ran into. There can only be 200 total tunes saved when there’s over 500 cars in the game.

It’s like you never intended for someone to put in enough time in to unlock all the upgrades for all the cars and tune each one of them. That or you didn’t want people to upgrade every car in the game because we’re supposed to build a relationship with our car.

This makes no sense because from my understanding, you don’t use the same car twice in SP.

Now the few people we have in the community that tune are in a pickle.

Please make a game for people who actually are going to stick around and put time in and stop targeting casuals. Gran Turismo is a big franchise because it caters to hardcore players and casuals. No one gets left out.

This isn’t a good look.

You know how many tunes you can have in gran turismo… As many as you want… Because they know how to make a racing game that works :face_exhaling:

Is It actually only 200? I have around 410 cars, most with a single tune except for maybe 50 main cars that have multiple tunes. Whatever it is it is not enough. I keep banging on about it but ive been at the limit for months now, As much as i try to keep on top of it it is so frustrating.

I am at the point where I have to rename the autosaves to share new tunes, but this just compounds the problem. Renaming autosaves and sharing them kind of lets you go over the threshold, but more over the limit you are just means you have to spend longer later on deleting tunes when you need to free up slots. also when you are over the threshold you wont be able to download any tunes and is just a pain.

T10 needs to purchase 2TB Google drive subscription to save more than 200 tunes

It’s around 200.

It could be 300, I don’t know for myself, it’s just an issue that keeps getting swept under the rug because there aren’t many tuners here.

I Saw @JSR_Chronic earlier thread got buried too.

That was the second time in the course of 2 days that I’ve seen someone complain about it. Which is why I made a topic about it. What little core community we have left is just getting flogged by these cut corners. Sucks that they didn’t think about people who contribute to the community when making this decision.

Yes they just blended it with another post about same thing from earlier :joy:

It’s really driving me nuts

I shared 5 civic builds tonight for a hlc a few Rena members are shooting for #1 world time with and I had to delete other random tunes

As if it wasn’t already so self-evident, you’d think they’d have learned this from when FH5 increased its garage, tune, & livery capacity:

I don’t know what they were thinking, at this point I’m tired of finding out how much grief they’re causing the community.

if you like downloading shared tunes,

Well that makes my duplicate car strategy even more viable. No need to save tunes, just have different cars.

But watch me eat my words when I find out there’s a pathetic garage limit too.

My Guess is the total limit is 500. Including autosaves.

As I ran into the cars- AND tuneslimit in FH5, I lost my interest in making and sharing tunes.
As I don’t play FM anymore (tried it a week or so), I couldn’t care less - so it’s just another “milestone” of disappointment…

How much effort can it be, to give unlimited tunes (or cars)? Must be impossible, otherwise I cannot understand decisions like that.

It’s ridiculous they need to upgrade their servers in speed and capacity ASAP. I mean 20 TB HDD’s only cost like 300 bucks nowadays. I have 4 of them, there is no excuse to not offer lots of space to save
tunings, designs etc. we don’t live in the early 2000’s anymore.

Why it takes like a full minute to download a design (livery) other players created, why it’s SOOOO SLOOOOOW? They need to fix these problems.

My suggestion is let us save 1000 designs and 1000 tunings. Problem solved, well for most ppl. Not everybody will use that space, but it’s enough for the hardcore ppl. We need to be able to own every car once and have a tuning and a design on it. If the game is a GAAS, there will be like 800-1000 cars at some point anyway. So just give us enough space to save stuff.

Taking GT as an exemple for talking about tunes is…heh

Because on GT we modify/tunes cars only for the career mode and for trackday lobbies (And drift lobby) but for the races on the Sport mode (The Featured multiplayer on FM) most of them (Like 98% of them) don’t have tunes allowed.

One of the biggest difference between the Forza community and the Gran Turismo one is just…The Forza community in general (not everyone) don’t like to race with the same car and same tune than the others (That’s why there was nobody on the Golf GTI Spec series). That’s how they satisfy all the community of GT with simplicity

And maybe the devs want to do a game where the driving skill is more important than the tuning one (Because on forza the tuning made 80% of the result of a race) but we’ll never know.

PS : The Forza casual community is 95% of the Forza community so they prefer to satisfy the casual one
