One wheel peel..?

I only have little bit real world “burn out” and sliding experience but that and how open diff and some limited slip diffs work, Forza seems to be buggy (current and if I remember right, fm7 also…)
Skid marks (accelerating while cornering) appear outer side (tire) of the turn… not inner like it should? Force goes most to least friction having tire so while car is leaning “inside” tire feels least weight and grip… also even if limited slip diff delivers 50:50 then inner tire should slip as inner turn radius is smaller (has to rotate same distance as outer wheel (if 50:50 force distribution)

This happens at least rear wheel drive cars… not done much testing with front wheel drive cars…

An example image is from F7 but Forza 2023 does similar thing… inner tire does not leave skid mark but smokes… (this is at start of doing little burnout from standstill while turning…)

This happens when car games are designed by people who know nothing about cars.

Try some work with differential

Point was that that does not look right, sure diffs matter but is visualisation wrong or diff math wrong…

The diffs do not function in game as they would be expected to function in real life.

After more close look and testing diff settings 0% and 100% I have say I was partly wrong… It was not totally what it looked in the picture. That left rear wheel skidmark was not rear wheel skidmark but front wheel “sliding” skidmark. Which is bit odd as rear right wheel should leave marks at least as fast as it is really doing burnout… so smoke comes fron right place but actual skidmark is oddly delayed.

And what about how diff works… IMO it works fine in gaming purposes. I tested 0 and 100% lock when half of the car was on tarmac and other half on sand… diff at 0% mainly rotated the wheel that was on sand as there was lower friction and 100% setting got great grip from tarmac side also and there was visible twist/turning how car reacted to that 1 point (better) grip.
I’m not saying that this can simulate all kinds of diff locks and styles (torsen, electric locks etc) but general working look ok. Skidmark visualisation need bit more care…
