How is this thread still going? Puddles form where they would on track, and your car aquaplanes appropriately. Its assumed that the game fits the cars with wet race tyres for wet races, so it isnt going to be the same as when your ‘all season’ half worn tyres aquaplane in your real life hooptie on the freeway…
Raced at Silverstone wet 2 days ago.
The rain got harder and the puddles formed similar in location to FM6. I had to avoid them because my car (2016 mustang) would lose traction badly and pull in weird directions just like big puddles do in real life. I would know, I live in one of the wettest places in the US.
I do miss the chaos of 6 puddles. I hardly notice puddles in 7 and if they are there they don’t seem to do much. I loved the dread in 6 that there might be a massive pile up.
Like others have said.
Go make a custom race online with some friends and set the weather to thunderstorm for 100% of the race. There is little to no difference between 7 and 6.
The big difference is that the max rain setting is almost never used in lobbies/career races, that’s why alot of people think it’s been lessened.
Cars still get affected by the puddles not like Forza 6 but that was over the top imo. Maybe you’re racing with friction assist on or something?
I wish I had read this sooner. I used to feel hydroplaning through vibration on FFB. Spent an hour on wheel settings thinking something changed at my end. Now it appears it may be due to update!
I still get sideways at BH, but the feedback is gone.
Forza 6 = Power boat racing simulator.
