This didn’t used to happen during my first few Fm5 sessions but now it does:
In a single session, this will happen once, sometimes twice, before the start of the race at the countdown, the cockpit wheel will be turn left at a 45 degree or greater angle, and it automatically straightens out as soon as the race starts. Can’t see it in replays since it doesn’t record the pre-race countdown.
I’m also not sure if the wheels are actually turned before the race starts (lol)
So err… is this a controller related issue? Or a Fm5. All updates are current on my system. Maybe it happens when the controller’s battery is low? Don’t know for sure.
I had the controller disconnecting once or twice one me, since I’ve been playing FM5 and H2.
Double tap the Xbox Button on your controller and choos Record That. It will record a movie from the last 30 seconds including “non used influenced actions”.
Have you tried using your controller wired, if possible?
Will experiment with the wired method, though that means sitting less than 4 feet from the screen!
It’s in no way a game-breaking bug and doesn’t affect driving at all, so I’ll just let it be.
It was definitely odd, so I thought I’d put it out here.
Yeah, it seems to be car-specific. And yes, it never affects gameplay. Just bizarre to see as if the car’s momentarily possessed and doesn’t want to keep the wheels pointing straight! Lol…
YES, I’ve definitely experienced this in the SVT Cobra! The ZR1 along with a few other cars I can’t seem to recall off the top of my head.
Yesterday, for the first time, the game quit on me. I was hardly past the third corner at Catalunya and the game quit to dash. That’s a first!
Had H2 quit back to dash on me once without even launching to the trademark screen. Oh well, very minor glitches that can be easily ignored.
I use a wheel and pedals and this happens to me with one car in my garage, I think one of the Lambos. It’s Not your controller. It’s never effected my launch off the line.
