Observation on rewards in this series (24)

looked at the various rewards, there are quite a few cosmetic things appearing for the first time, more by quite a way than other recent series

Raul Urias Jumper (I think it was a first)
Badlands Desert Scarf
Fist Pump emote
Epitaph White Logo Relaxed Tee
Running Man Challenge emote
“Game Over Yeaahhhhhh” link
White Snake Helmet
Spin emote

most of those have been in the game for ages (maybe from the beginning) so it seems curious they’re all appearing in one series, especially since there are so many new car rewards

I personally don’t call any of these rewards. More a waste of time and space that could be better used for real car related items like fenders, hoods, and other such items much more appropriate as rewards for a car game.

I tend to agree with that. Not interested in cosmetics; even to the extent that in World of Tanks I always use transparent camouflage. Could be similar reasoning to my attempts at doing everything in a stock car! If it does something, great, if not, not interested.

The main point I suppose is that three of the five emotes that have been in from the start but have never appeared are among these rewards. That can’t be random, surely. So what if anything prompted the choice?

They didn’t actually maybe, possibly research back through the past series to find out what hasn’t been used? Actually putting effort into the game? Maybe?

looks that way, yes . . . gave me a nagging suspicion that it’s related to people moving on from H5 to whatever (M/H6) so we can maybe expect less from now other than pre-determined additions (such as car packs, Super7, whatever) but then I have on occasion been accused of being very cynical

I’m not of course; I used to be cynical until I realised that the world is awful, everyone is out for themselves and there is nothing I can do about it

Or it could be they actually are try to put forth an extra effort to make the game better.

I’d really like to believe that.

I’d like to make an observation about rewards on Festival Playlist in Series 24 too, but about cars. We’re getting mostly “epic” or even “legendary” models from events. I like that, it reminds me what appeal Playlist had in Forza Horizon 4. If only Forzathon Shop offered hard-to-find cars at the sime time…

Forzathon Shop is quite possibly the biggest waste of space in this game. Every time, it’s two autoshow cars. No exceptions.

FH4 did this much better. At least 1 (usually 2) hard-to-find cars each week. Stuff people actually wanted. FH5 has failed miserably in that regard.

I’ve actually spent some FPs with the emotes offered from this week’s & last for potential photo ops, which is the first time I can remember buying anything tbh. To illustrate: it brought me down to like 22,750 FPs left :joy:

I think the car rewards in the playlist are focused on new or returning players. Dedicated players likely have every car so whatever the rewards are isn’t going to offer much value to them beyond the new playlist car of the week.

New players that don’t have a lot of credits can benefit from even free autoshow cars.

Good points & even better justification for a reward utilization path that would in turn benefit the legacy players in some way rather than just creating more redundancy.

@x_ShadowsBane_x , which is exactly why we need an option in the playlist rewards to accept, gift, or sell the reward if it is a duplicate. Whether it is a car or anything else. Or maybe just give us those options regardless of the duplicates status.

I’d like that option even when it’s not technically a duplicate of anything that’s currently in my garage…
I find it annoying that every time I clear up garage space by getting rid of unwanted cars, the game keeps filling my garage back up again with cheap cars I got rid of - from wheelspins, from accolades, from gifts sent/discarded by other players, from seasonal playlist rewards (not the exclusive cars, but the common ones from completing the 5-point seasonal championships), etc.
…It just creates endless inventory maintenance when I’d rather spend that time tuning & racing.

If the devs are still working on FH5 feature updates, I deeply hope they’ll deliver major improvements to file management (cars, tunes, paints, etc.) because it’s a real buzzkill to have to spend so much time on clunky storage maintenance.

I just buy everything in the shop that’s not marked “owned”…and then never use it anyway. :sunglasses:

All the clothes, emotes and horns are a waste of developer time that could have been spend on actually relevant things IMO.

Same as Plage I think they’re pointless fluff but I have a compulsion to get the ones I don’t have by now .

It’s the only thing that would make me go back to HW, which this will in the final week of the series.

I will be praying the 3 tracks are anything as long as Waterslide isn’t one of them.

Thanks for the link. I just voted and added a note to that thread.

I observed the Summer trial and championship required a Maserati GT-S and Levante. Those are reward cars in Winter and Spring. This doesn’t even help new players.

Clothing is fine as a reward. Don’t have to delete the dupes.

This happens often throughout the game and is one of the big failings. The proofing and quality control in this game is atrocious at best, non-existent at worst.
