Why you would say? Cause the car you fans will get IS CONFIRMED to be from the base game via a tweet saying the AC Cobra will be given if USA wins, so yes, the Rambling for the hope of a new car is completely just for nothing but a car you can get from either the autoshow or wheel spins.
I should’ve expected you could pull a trick this bad, The rewards could’ve been a ticket to the most expensive house for ONLY the winning country.
This series should have been named Chinese New Year with 4 Cars from china if they’re country is in the car rewards… but NO ! Cosmetics World Cup sponsored by OPI.
Now I was mad about the people ranting about the game for downright dumb reasons… but here, There’s a reason to rant over here. If you wanted this to be Forza Horizon 2077 so that you could focus ONLY on Forza Motorsport… you got it right.
To pin the supposed meaningfulness of a series on an extraneous contest seems silly. Does that mean all the series that came before which had no such contest were completely pointless, too?
I’m not entirely sure how Series 5 is “completely pointless” because of a Series 4 Reward? I’m all for bashing the game when it frequently fails to live up to expectations but calling something pointless because of something unrelated seems a bit unfair.
Incidentally, for information, Motorsport and Horizon are made my 2 separate companies (Turn 10 make Motorsport, Playground make Horizon) so, even if they had chosen to deliberately release a bad game, it would have nothing to do with Motorsport (well, beyond the suspicion that Playground were rushed to release it when they realised Motorsport was taking longer than expected)
The reason that it’s completely pointless is that everybody was doing it in hopes for a free car that is fresh new, but once they tweeted it, this just proved that it was for nothing. Though, which series are we?
I think it’s more likely that most people were doing it for all the reasons they usually do these events whether or not there’s an additional contest going on.
Agreed…I’m not bothered by having a reward at the end of it or anything. Only difference to a normal playlist for me is trying to do everything in UK cars (supporting where I’m from).
We are currently in Series 4. Am guessing you meant to say Series 4 rather than 5?
regarding the reward, well, I wasn’t expecting a new car as the reward…was just expecting a run of the mill car with maybe an Olympics themed livery or some such
I can sort of see what you’re saying, I’ve got in to it and stuck with Japan but the end prize can only be 2 things…
An existing autoshow car from the winning country which in my opinion is pointless especially with Japan being in the lead who’s most valuable car is the R390, a car that anyone choosing to go for Japan in the final season is already going to have anyway + at 1.25 million really not that much of a big ticket prize for those who don’t when you consider some of the other cars in the autoshow.
Or the car is a new + already pre-determined one in which case just like the secret Santa over Christmas there’s no need to try and fob people off with made up nonsense if we’re all going to get it anyway like the Peel.
Given the amount of unique liveries on gift cars, I’d expect it to be the same. The car won’t be a new one as we know, but I’d at least hope it has a unique livery that coincides with the World Cup event, or unique upgrades. If not it will be removed as soon as received, not a big deal. My Asperger’s triggers the FOMO in me, so I do the playlist as means of routine, although at times it can be a drag.
At the moment I’m more involved in route creation, and weekly rivals that Jezza hosts. This whole series is just to add a bit of variety to the game, as well as next series stunt event, not a bad thing considering everything lacking/missing at the moment.
So now they have decided the Ford Escort that a lot of people will have probably used in the championships this week is British rather than American what will happen to any wins it may have got people, that’s of course assuming they are actually counting the wins for each country? lol
Its messed up just like everything else they’ve attempted to add. Not one event or series so far has been without some issues/bug. They will need to transfer all stats across to Britain for this car, but what if people drove it supporting America? I can see this causing a temporary uproar over social media and unfortunately they are the only people causing themselves this unwanted grievance.
It looks highly likely that Japan is going to be the overall winner, so I don’t think it changes the outcome, but that isn’t the point, these simple mistakes are becoming a common occurrence which is somewhat worrying on a larger scale. How are they escaping internal detection?
FH4 wasn’t perfect, but I can’t recall it ever being this bad, what has changed?
This all goes back to the total lack of care and attention this game has gotten…the big bugs can be excused as all games has bugs etc…it’s the little things that demonstrate just how little they care about their product…things like Accolades, when pinned, say something completely different, subtitles for when the characters are talking which are nothing to do with what is being said etc etc.
At least your “german” Mini is built in England… even the brand “Mini” officially is located in England - but after the brexit and the resulting logistics problems it could change soon.
I think nobody would ever say that Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Bugatti, Lamborghini, even Seat or Skoda would be a german manufactorer just because they belong to VW or BMW (Rolls-Royce’s Emily belongs to BMW, the brand Rolls-Royce to VW. Or Vauxhall or Opel are now french brands…
