Some questions answered:

Barn Find revealed as the Porsche 911 Turbo.
Garage limits touch on game saves so approaching changes is looked at very carefully.
No immediate plans to change Drifting features or scoring.
Selling duplicate cars from wheelspins - this is complicated due to scenarios where spins interrupt live events, so this is being considered for the future.
Body kits - in the works but no info right now.
Decals, smoke color - to do this would require everyone to redownload all the cars, so it’s unlikely these features will happen.

I actually don’t much care for wheelspins getting spun automatically between events, so maybe they could just let us bank it with all the other waiting wheelspins to spin at our leisure.

The stream can be rewatched here, if you missed it: Forza Horizon 4 | Update 12 Live Stream - YouTube

Nothing about the Track-Tor and I am sure they took notice of the issue/complaints.
So, seems we have to live with this crap as we have with the Boneshaker.

I can’t believe, after 12 updates, twelve, still no Ferraris/Lambos last models, which actually people really want for ages!

so no Portofino, no 488 Pista, no Performante/EVO, S/SVJ etc

and there is already a new replacement for 488, the F8 Tributo…, not to mention other ferraris.

Also since game release, not a single new Audi, even the Audi Q7 V12 TDi from FMS7, a game it shares content

what a disappointment!

I don’t want to be bombarded with supercars and hypercars every time.

I can count the modern supercars/hypercars added to this game on the fingers of one hand. Completely new ones? Agera RS, Rimac C_Two, Apollo IE and the Jaguar C-X75 in the Bond DLC, pretty much. With the Corvette ZR1 a step below. Vantage, 992 Carrera and TVR Griffith are sportscars, definitely not on the level of stuff like the 488 Pista or even the McLaren 600LT. The GTC4 Lusso is a car I enjoy but it’s definitely the least interesting of the new Ferraris they could’ve added.

If anything, much of what we got is old, obscure cars few people care about, like Peel Trident, Ford Transit and VW Doka. The Transit even lacks the “Supervan” bodykit. The DLC was absolutely ridiculous, featuring the NSX-R GT and the Camaro ZL1 1LE which are the same cars we have in the game just with slightly different bodies, and a McLaren 650S convertible that initially couldn’t be driven with the top down. The highlight of the Car Pass was the Corvette ZR1, which came out bugged (wrong wheels and textures). All of the supercars added in Fortune Island were recycled from older Forzas.

Give me supercars over that any day of the week. At least they attract positive attention to the game. Forza built itself upon the automotive dreams most people enjoy, with the odd DIY car like the VW Fox… Microsoft used to have another game for people who wanted to drive goofy cars like the Peel P50, it was called Midtown Madness. Even then, there’s plenty of cars in FM7’s roster they could bring to the game, like the Honda Odyssey (actually a good car, doesn’t drive too badly), the Nissan Safari and the Subaru 360.

On the other hand, since this console generation is about to end, I don’t see much reason to bring all your strongest content to FH4 when the new assets need to be ready for the Scarlett so they can be scaled down to the other consoles. It’s possible this is why these cars haven’t appeared in FH4, as we know the Forza teams have the AMG One in a test build, and that is pretty much the most extreme road car ever made. In fact, it’d make a great cover car for FM8, but I digress.

Finally, the post you directly quoted complained about Audi. The newest Audi entries aren’t exactly supercars. The new TT-RS is a car many people would want to drive. RS3 and RS5 have new generations on the market as well.

Definitely because I own one irl. Would be awesome to drive & tune it in a Forza title. So far only The Crew 2 offers it - alongside the newest RS5.

Supercars and hypercars are not the only types of cars that attract positive attention to the game.

Definitely! I wasn’t aware the Peel Trident was more widely known than the 488 Pista. Or even a Berlinetta Boxer.

The problem with this game is pretty simple: too much Jaimin and not enough Alex and Rebecca.

P.S.:

It’s not my intention to say oddball cars are bad. I mean, I was the guy who defended the Atomic Punk being in FM7, and who didn’t mind the Cayenne and the Trackhawk in the DLC (though I did mind the Land Cruiser and the RAM Power Wagon). However, as of late, Forza has been a little sloppy with its modern cars.

The 2019 GT3 RS for example is a version without the Weissach package, which doesn’t set itself apart enough from the 2016 model as a result. For someone who claims to have a partnership with Porsche, this is the kind of detail that’s difficult to understand. The Apollo has buggy hubcaps, which ruin custom designs. The Agera RS was modeled after the One:1, which is wrong, as it’s based on the Agera (the part under the front lid gives it away). The F90 M5 launched with buggy LED headlights, the Corvette ZR1 launched with the wrong wheels and HUD logo on top of being uncompetitive in FH4, the AMG GT 4-Door lacks the Race suspension upgrade…

As a fan of cars, I want to see the best of Porsche going against the best of Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc., and currently we don’t have that, we have the 991 GT2 RS, the Corvette ZR1 and the McLaren 720S (two of these brought from FM7, in fact) but no Ferrari 488 Pista, no Huracán Performante, no Aventador S… We don’t even have the 991.2 generation of the 911 Turbo, nor the new 718 models (Boxster and Cayman), which have few changes from the old ones but they’re the latest. There’s a strong Renault presence in the game but no Alpine A110 (apart from the classic of course), which is strange.

In FH4 it seems there was a bigger priority in collaboration with custom designers like DeBerti, RTR, Hoonigan, even Barrett-Jackson, and not enough with the prestige manufacturers many people love. The relationship with Ferrari in particular seems to have become a little too weak for my taste, which is a shame since there’s many important Ferrari models yet to make it into Forza, both classic and new. The only new Ferrari in FH4 was the GTC4 Lusso (the 599XX Evo came to FM7 months before) and the Ferrari Spotlight month in FM7 featured the 599XX Evo (a returning car) and the GTC4 Lusso from FH4.

It’s hard to be hyped up for a Karmann-Ghia when we already had it in FM7. It should be in the game but not on its current terms: an additional car added 11 months after release and on top of that a timed exclusive. Besides, the Beetle in Forza needs lots of updates (track width, for one) and customization options… It really needed the “Mini Cooper” treatment before the Karmann-Ghia IMO, even though the Karmann-Ghia is actually one of my favorite cars from VW.

I need to throw this out there-

1-Remember resources are finite anything a studio adds to the game could have been something else

2-People have been crying from the rooftop for more “car culture,” ie bodykits, stance, Formula Drift, Tuner cars, more support for drift, and Playground has updated all these things over the last two Horizon games

3-Now that Playground has added these things, others will say “that’s not what I wanted, I wanted…” in your case, the latest supercars

4-Low and behold, someone you have already conversed with does not want the latest supercars

Do I think Playground could have handled some of the DLC better? Yes, but honestly some people (not saying you) on these forums act like PG is into some conspiracy to deny them the cars they want. All I can say is the car pass and expansions are over and yet I’ve gotten tons of cars since and two NEW Aston Martins are dropping in a couple weeks, and I am very happy.

Actually two of the cars I wanted the most were added as DLC in FM7 (the HK Monaro and 964 Turbo S).

But Playground misinterprets. People want “car culture” stuff but they want to build this stuff from scratch in the game not drive premade cars. Unfortunately, licensing could prevent us from doing it.

Furthermore FM7 added tons of kits for many cars and none of them made the move to FH4 even though FH4 has a few kits FM7 lacks like 650S Liberty Walk and Jaguar F-Type Forza kit.

Elaborating on your post I think FH4 is probably not the best place for some of the latest cars due to being an end-of-cycle game in the Forza franchise (we’re getting a new console next year). Which is also why we didn’t get track width in FM7 (too much work for little benefit in a game that was going to cease development soon).

Not the only ones for sure, but if you look at the wishlist thread here in the forums (and they always say that car wishes should go there) they are on top of the list with the Performante being the number one requested car since FH4 was released, not far below that are the Pista, Aventador SVJ and the 675LT according to ManteoMax´s data-collection. It´s simply a fact that these cars are the most requested ones, sorry to tell you. Yet we barely get these cars.
Whereas once again we get the usual stuff: Two old D-class cars that will never be raced. Great, really… It´s not like, you know, many of these cars were already in the Car Pass (Kadett, Transit, Trident, Hillman…)

but i do, same as OLD cars to be clear, and millions of forza’s fanbase want these cars too

some of then are the most requested cars by far, very far…

Delorean stay in the top 3 since forever, where’s the car? PG don’t listen the community, it’s a fact!

even The Crew 2 have Pista and Performante

PG missing the oportunity to make more money with DLCs or whatever, i don’t care, i just want really new cars

I totally agree, Apple Slipper. There are many non-S2/X class non-super/hyper cars out there that could be used.

It may be hard for some to believe, but not everyone is infatuated with those cars. Personally, those are my least favorite cars and only use them when necessary for an achievement or task.
