Rewards that haven't been repeated in years (or ever?)

I’ve finally convinced myself to stop trying to 100% each week’s seasonal tasks. The same handful of series have been repeated over the past year or so, and I’m not getting any new rewards from them, so why waste my time doing every single event? But that got me thinking: how many rewards are left that I’ve never once seen during my time playing the game? The first season I have listed as completed was from Series 39, in September of 2021. I’ve earned every single playlist reward since then. So just for the hell of it, here’s everything left in the game that hasn’t appeared in at least two years. I’m not counting items that you can still earn from Backstage or Horizon Life reward tiers, as tedious as that may be, as well as defunct items like the Mixer cosmetics because lol Mixer.

Cars:

  • Napier-Railton
  • Aston Martin DB11 Preorder
  • Chevy Camaro ZL1 Preorder
  • Ford Focus RS Preorder
  • Mclaren 720S Preorder

I found the Napier-Railton once on the AH, but I’ve never seen it appear as a reward option so I’m not the original owner. Those four preorder cars haven’t shown up in any form and are either never sold on the AH or just can’t be. The other preorder cars are still obtainable: I think the Nissan GT-R and Mercedes-AMG GT R were both gifted to all players, and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a high-tier reward for playing the Eliminator. I thought that one would be nigh-impossible, but when I was making a try for it I kept winding up in sessions with only a handful of players, so it may be easy to speed through the levels now.

Now the worst thing about the cosmetics is that a bunch of them are listed as being available in wheelspins when you try to select them from the character menu, but I’ve checked off probably thousands of combined wheelspins during my time playing this game and never once seen any of them available, so I’m pretty sure that’s a lie.

There are also a few loyalty rewards tees that aren’t available anymore since the Forza Hub app was shut down. Somehow the only ones I didn’t get were the FM5 and FH1 ones. And again, lol Mixer.

  • Classic Race Helmet
  • Chauffeur Hat
  • Modern Race Helmet White

Outfits:

The frustrating thing is that I think I saw the classic race helmet/suit appear once on the ranked series rewards list…but they were locked behind rank 3/4 or something, so the vast majority of us playing the game didn’t have a chance in hell of grabbing them.

So there we go. Near as I can tell, that’s all of the rare rewards that have not appeared once in the playlist in the past two years. What’s worse is that when I glanced through the previous few series before I started doing them, all I saw were events and rewards I recognized too. Who knows how long it’s actually been since some of this stuff was available, and maybe some of it never was.

So c’mon, PGG. Do the right thing here. If nothing else, at least make those cars available again before you pull the plug on FH4.

Absolutely ridiculous that the Napier hasn’t been available since Series 32. February 2021. I don’t know how the hell I ended up with one considering I only started playing the Festival Playlist around Series 35, it may have been the AH.

The Focus Preorder car is one I’d really like to pick up, I hear it has a broken widebody kit so I’d love to try it out just for the shenanigans. Shame it likely will never happen.

What I really don’t understand is if they’re done adding new content to the game, why not just cycle the series back from the first one in 2019 and give everyone another chance to pick up every single reward that appeared in them? Instead it’s like they’ve just taken the last year or so of unique content and keep cycling through that, even though it’s what players are more likely to have experienced themselves. It makes no sense.

Agreed. Many rewards aren’t appearing in this new rotation and many continue to be extremely overused (the Holden VL Commodore for example). Starting from the beginning and replaying every series would give everyone the opportunity to complete their collection.

I just want the 850CSi as a reward soon. That’s the one non-PO car I’m missing and they NEVER show up on the Auction House.

According to the wiki, that one was a series reward in Series 57 this past January/February, and it randomly showed up on the Forzathon shop for one day in June. At least if they keep repeating things like this it’ll cycle around for you before too long.

Yup, I only started playing FH4 this year and I have it (850CSi); think I picked it up from the shop in June (as you say).

As regards the shop, the prices are pretty strange at times, as are the sale durations: used to be 600/300 points per car with avaliability lasting for a week, but often now they’re +/- one point (why?), and then we have the occasional daily sales (seemingly for no reason); all very odd! Speaking of odd, logging in today I got a popup telling me that 3 Skill Mastery Points had been refunded; no idea what that was all about!

Totally agree on your point about cycling the series from the beginning, BTW. Not only does it seem like the most sensible course of action, but I’d have thought it was the easiest to implement too; no idea why they don’t just do that!

I am original owner of all cars except of Napier Railton and Ford Capri FE (for star card i am missing only to get to rank 10 in ranked online). Napier Railton and Ford Capri FE i aquired from auctions house, and im missing only 4 preorder cars. Probably lot people missing that 4 preorder cars. All people who start playing game from series 31 had no chance to get that 4 ‘‘unicorn’’ cars.

Also rewards that haven’t been repeated in years also are two horns: - ‘‘Ice Cream Van’’ horn - available in series 2, 5, 7, 18, 21 and 29, and ‘‘Kazoo Marching Band’’ horn - available only in series 2.

After investigating all festival playlists and all forzatlon shops lists, i think that Chauffeur Hat and Chauffeur Outfit never appeared in any festival playlists or forzatlon shops. Presumably it was scheduled to release in series 6, but that never hapened.

All that rare cars and rare items apeared from series 2 to series 30. It vould be nice if PGG stop current rotation of series, because some of festival playlists has been repeated two times, that means same festival playlists been available three times, and everithing from series 1 to series 34 only once (with two exceptions, series 21 and series 31).

Series 1 to 6 has been different because of introduction of festival playlist from series 7, that means, ‘‘Kazoo Marching Band’’ horn and four quick chat phrases probably won’t be available anymore. But for other cars and items i not see opstacle not to be repeated again.

With only 9 of thiese festival playlist and forzatlon shops from that series, all other items and cars will be available, and that festival playlist are: - series 7, 11, 12, 17, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30.

So plese PGG make that festival playlists and Forzatlon shops available again, or please give us chance to get that 4 preorder cars. (It would be available after repeating forzatlon shops from series 17, 23 and 30). That cars aren’t available from auction house. Another solution be if you send that 4 preorder cars as a gift to all players, like Nissan preorder car and Mercedes-AMG preorder car. Plese PGG make it happen!

Thanks for looking up that additional information. I forgot about checking the car horns, but I’d assume those are the only ones I’m missing too. Gotta love how those chauffeur clothes offerings have never once appeared in the game (unless they were a series ranked reward somewhere). Even two years after FH5’s release, there are a handful of emotes and cosmetics that were listed in the game since day 1 but still haven’t become available yet.

As regarding that chauffeur clothes, i found on some page that was scheduled to be available in series 6, but it was some programming problem with that clothes, and after that it’s forgotten. Maybe it’s appeared in ranked series reward later, but that is difficult to check, because i haven’t found page with complete list of ranked series reward by series.

Most bothers me not to have that 4 preorder cars. They have been blacklisted from auction house after 18 months after game release. That i don’t understand why. Two preorder cars has been gifted all players, and Porsche preorder is available in eliminator.

I last year only interesting series has been repeated is series 31, with rare Toyota Celica 74 and Jaguar I-Pace. After that series repeat i hoped to see series 32 with Napier Railton, but that never hapened. After repeat of series 31 we see all the time same series repeat for the second time, with noting new to add to colection.

I hope that PGG will stop that same boring rotation, and give us repeat of festival playlists and forzatlon shops with that missing cars and items.

I think that series with the Celica and I-Pace had the very last regular cars I needed other than the Napier. Super-frustrating that it would have been the next series in sequence.
