When I was gathering data for my topic with comparison of cars in FH5 and FH4, one thing struck me. I’ve noted a major difference between rewards on Festival Playlists in both games.
In FH5 seasonal championships are rewarded only with Autoshow cars (and never the expensive ones), while in FH4 we oftenly had hard-to-find cars or legendary Autoshow models as rewards.
No wonder that forum is full of requests for 2020 Nissan GT-R Nismo (like in the topic here), as the car was available on the Playlist just once, nine months ago (if I’m not mistaken). If it was FH4, we would had at least a few opportunities to get this car in that time, if not from seasonal championship then from Forzathon shop or Super7.
I admit, I wasn’t worried about it too much until now, as I can afford playing Forza Horizon 5 every week. But what if I couldn’t? Having rare cars in the game is not necessarily a bad thing but giving one chance in more than half year to obtain them is not healthy.
I think it’s important for the ongoing discussion about the FOMO factor of the game and PGG should reconsider rewards in FH5. At least Forzathon shop could offer hard-to-find cars every now and then.
This is something me and @nb3254 have been complaining about for quite some time. I mean come on the game is just handing out this stuff constantly for the past 5 or so months. When will it stop? Worse still is some of them are just handed to you for completing seasonal PR stunts.
I’ve posted a suggestion about this very issue and I am certain it will be merged shortly.
I’ve found the topic you mentioned in the Suggestion Hub and upvoted it
I agree, credits and XP boosts would be a nice way to make Playlists more diverse. However, first and foremost I’d like to see more opportunities to get hard-to-find cars as rewards for various challenges and as wares in Forzathon shop. It’s more and more important with every passing month, as more and more H2F cars are added to the game. Offering them only as weekly/monthly rewards for 40/160 PTS on the Playlist is not enough.
Definitely agree. This week you can get the F-Type which is not purchasable. They do it occasionally but there comes a time when more cars will start appearing. Midnight Battles have H2F cars but I already own them.
Still hoping for at least the return of the DeLorean as it hasn’t resurfaced since Series 1, like a year ago.
Exactly! Put them in the forzathon shop every once in a while… Might make the forzathon shop a little more interesting.
And then as far as seasonal rewards: Well if they dont put these past playlists cars as a seasonal rewards then what else are they going to put instead for 20-40 points? Assuming per season there is 1 new to horizon 5 car and the other one would be?
Something expensive from the autoshow? But theres only so few they can put in the playlist and its likely to be a car thats already been on the playlist before. Or put something significantly cheaper but then theres no incentive to work towards unlock things…

Yea but if they put the exlucusive car in the forzathon shop instead in the festival playlist like they would normally do. Then theres 1 spot left that they just have to fill in with something
First car - usually new to horizon 5. But then what about the second?
I like having these cars dropped in the forzathon shop. But for some it might make the festival playlist less desirable ;d
But why instead? We could have H2F cars both on the Playlist and in the Forzathon shop. The point is to be able to obtain more than one H2F car per week
Especially considering that we have ca. 100 H2F cars in the game already and there will be many more…
Agreed. Though I’m confused and surprised that no one has mentioned the Peel Trident as one of the missing cars from their collections. It’s the only car I’m missing, and though it has appeared twice, it was locked behind online events both times and hasn’t reappeared in almost five months. Before that, it hadn’t shown up in seven months.
