Sad to say this may be my last turn 10 game. I paid for the best bundle of forza 6 so I would get the free dlc. I have gotten 3 things for being vip, I will not pay another 30 dollars on top of what I have already paid for the porsche pack. Your games have become to much for a person to pay with a lot less content then before. How is it that you guys have built 3 or 4 games since forza 4 and now its become less of a game. There was so many more options to forza 4. Auction house live auctions buy able sellable logos art graphics. What happened?
Forza 2 was the first game on a new console.
Forza 3 second and Forza 4 3rd.
FM5 should be comparable to FM2.
FM6 should be comparable to FM3.
FM7 should be comparable to FM4.
The content builds up over the life of the console with this game - that is how it works.
With regards to the Porsche pack you either have Porsche or EA to thank for the difficulty Turn 10 had getting the rights and adding it to the game and the speculation is that it may have cost a wad of cash too.
Strongly disagree with you about how games should compare. Should the first COD released on Xbone be compared to the first COD on the 360? Nope.
That being said, every was well aware exactly what they were (nt) going to get when buying this issue of the game, it was pretty well documented and reviewed, so no one can moan about it really.
Coming on here complaining won’t get your voice heard, either.
In the future I think that those of us who purchase the ultimate edition should get all dlc included.
BUT you did get what you paid for. You’ve known for a while before the game came out that the auction house isn’t apart of forza anymore because people ruined it. You also knew how many free car packs you’d get…
Soooo… Quit your complaining dlc is an industry standard.
So much entitlement.
Your thread subject says you are not getting what you paid for. What exactly are you referring to? I only purchased FM6 about 2 months ago, and the buying options were pretty clear.
As for Porsche DLC, we paid for that in FM4 ($20 I believe). That’s one of those license agreement deals that require negotiations and money, to get rights to use them.
The industry has moved towards paid DLC. That’s one reason why the base price of a game has remained fairly constant for the last few years. The developers and producers have a right to be fairly compensated for their work. After all it is a business for them, not a hobby.
If you have actually been slighted in some way, and have not received something you actually paid for, please elaborate. It could be a known issue and someone might actually have an answer to help you. I hope you get a resolution if that is the case.
Peace
K, thx, bye.
Someone needs to read what they are buying before paying for it
You’ve got everything you are entitled to according to the product description
Ultimate does not mean to include all
It means the best which it was the best bundle with the most savings
Getting sick of living amongst the entitled generation
Bye Felicia.
No false advertisement here.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again ever since FM4 if you want the complete game it’s going to cost around $200 if a Porsche pack is included. Nothing new here.
I Played FM6 for 667 hours that works out to 17 cents per hour of enjoyment/fun(if my math is correct), I could spend more than that playing a single game in an arcade.
Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t waste my money getting the “collectors edition,” most of the cars in these car packs suck, the newest pack was good, the F&F pack is good, and the porshe pack is good, that about it, I agree that they downgraded the game from forza 4, I transferred from 4 to 6, they brag about the " Forzavista", but on most of the cars you can’t even open the hood or trunk on 1/3 of the cars you can look at, I will say that tag is a bit better, but they need to add back track tag. And I think the reason they got rid of the auction house was because people were basically giving money to friends (but honestly, the game basically gives away credits to you anyway, I’m at level 200 on forza and I have 20 million credits because I don’t spend money on expensive cars and the game give a the same amount of credits to everyone, I’m pretty sure that everyone gets a bugatti on one of the first spins, way to easy to get credits)
My advice when getting the next forza if you do, don’t buy these “collectors edition” or platinum edition," just get the game how it is, if you see a car pack you personally like, and you think it’d be worth it, buy it,
Well I bought the ultimate edition got to play for a week before any standard owners and got VIP/car pass on top of that. Just because you didn’t like the cars form the packs does not mean others didn’t. IMO they really tried to please a lot of different people with the packs covered by the car pass.
Also the reason they just throw money at you is because in FM5 they launched the game and actually made you earn your cars, a bunch of people complained and they updated it to two times the winnings. And I’m pretty sure people giving away free credits with the AH was not the reason for it not being it the game(you could gift unlimited cars to your buddys legally though the game anyway without the AH), but instead it was hackers trying to sell modded cars as well as unknowing people buying said cars then getting banned themselves. But no one outside of Turn 10 really knows because I don’t think the reason was made public.
I think it’s a shame when people come on here and make a thread about walking away from the Forza franchise even if i don’t agree with the argument that it is too much to pay for a game when buying the ‘Ultimate’ edition.
It’s most unhelpful when SOME others seize on it to attack them with the ‘entitlement’ argument - people are allowed to make an informed decision about future purchases based on what they have purchased before from a provider.
I’ve had great value for money out of Forza 6 and i purchased the ‘Ultimate’ edition. One thing’s for sure though if they make a Forza 7 I’ll be buying the standard edition which means Turn10/Microsoft will take a 50% hit on their profits from me.
There’s two reasons for this:
-
DLC Content - Whilst I appreciate they have released all new to Forza content as part of the car packs and lots of racing cars which you would expect from a racing game, very little has interested me. In amongst the Trucks/SUV’s/Fantasy and over representation of vintage vehicles (some cool vintage though) I would have expected at least some vehicles - even ONE which drew me to Forza in the first place. I like to race BCD class and particularly although not exclusively like FWD cars 80’s to present day - that’s how i roll.
-
Leagues/Public Hoppers - I realise i will still have access to these whichever edition i buy but this is where i punish Turn 10 with my purchasing power. I think they’ve shown a lack of ambition and played it too safe with these. I could have a rant about ‘ghost leagues’ but i won’t bother. If it wasn’t for private lobby racing I would have stopped racing online altogether with state of the standard hoppers. I appreciate it’s difficult to deal with ‘wrecking’ and poor race craft but more could have been done - I’ll leave that for another thread.
Except, you have gotten exactly what you paid for, as it was all spelt out to you when purchasing; you did read it all, right? Sounds like you didn’t. The trouble with you and people like you is that you feel entitled to more than you paid for, that you assume that future DLC must be given to you for free because you paid for the Ultimate Edition or whatever. Sure some may say using the entitlement argument is disingenuous, but in this case that is exactly what it is; everything you get when paying is listed out for you, expecting more is, well…
Yes you can make a decision about future purchases based on what you get now; whether it’s informed or not is debatable.
Come on!!! Read the fine print and understand what youre buying before hand, you got what you paid for, ALL other add-on will cost extra… There is no FOUL here,
