AS per title, having trouble when starting a new race series i cant manually upgrade car as i dont know he race restrictions!!! Tired of Upgrading manually and then having to upgrade automatically as car will exceed race restrictions WTF.

the only solution I know so far is to select “buy car” in the car selection window. Scroll through the buyable cars and have a look at their PI. That’s usually the restriction maximum.

As Bluesky0870 has said, buy the car from the Buy Car option. Then go to the Upgrade Shop, go to the Setup Manager, and then select “Set back to default upgrades”.
This effectively puts the car at stock setup. You can then upgrade back up to the max PI in whatever fashion you see fit.
It’s not ideal, but it’s the simplest way to make sure you have a qualifying car that is setup and tuned the way you want.

its little things thats are annoying also they have took displacment out of the toggle menu on the car stats so u can no longer see the engine size of the car and u cant find out how much u can bore it out by
If I recall correctly F5 didn’t have the option either. FH2 just scaled the AI to match or nearly match you. It seemed though, at least for me, the cars stayed within their original PI letter. I don’t have 6 yet so I don’t know what it looks like but in F5 for example some or most of the vintage races were D class to start and could only stay within D class. Just my observation. As others have said, look at the buy car options to gauge max PI.
Pretty certain it did, dont hold me on that, but im sure i never had this problem in F5 and like you i have played all

I’ve had this too. I upgraded my car (wanted shocks to tune) and it was invalid? I have no clue why. I took a non-upgraded car of the same PI and it was fine.
When I hit upgrade car manually it tells me what PI I can’t
Exceed. So far I have not had any issues with what I upgrade with. Just don’t exceed the PI it shows when you hit upgrade manually. Not sure if your missing that screen or not, at first I was missing it. Actually I just wasn’t paying attention.
