No lap times in timed races???? Why????

I’m a member of 2old4forza and we host numerous events including endurance races. These endurance races are 2 hour timed races and it is a club wide annoyance that there are no lap times shown or recorded when doing a timed race. Instead of lap times you have current lap HUD as how many miles you are in to the lap.
This is ridiculous and extremely unhelpful. When your racing for 2 hours flat it is necessary to have your lap times available so you know if your being consistent or not. No one cares how far in to the lap they are, EVERYONE cares what their lap times are n EVERYONE wants to be able to see if they are being consistent or starting to lose time due to mental fatigue setting in.
Please please fix this issue and add lap times to timed races

Whilst you’re at it change the light in the paint booth so all sides of the car are lit properly. It’s stupid at the moment as the right side is so dark you can’t see if your livery lines match up properly. It also doesn’t help that when you import designs from the left that it puts them in different positions and at different angles

I could go on all day long about the bugs in this game but I won’t. All I will say is you need to stop promoting your forza RC and fix all your bugs n keep your LOYAL customers happy instead of trying to sell more copies of your severely broken game. Your private lobby settings are absolutely fudged, nothing works, pit stops cause issues, buckets cause issues, forcing lobby to stock causes issues, people get booted from private lobby’s if they save a replay etc etc etc

Please turn 10 sort this before we all buy project cars 2 and leave your game forever.
2old4forza was a group dedicated to forza it’s now fast becoming a project cars 2 dominated group. You are haemorrhaging fans at a drastic rate. Stop trying to cater for kids n casuals n cater for your loyal fan base.
The kids n casuals may buy your game n help your bank balance but it is true gamers who keep it alive n right now it’s dying a slow suicidal death

They also need to make the timed races work like real life, where you still have to race to the finish line instead of the race just ending wherever you on the track.

I’ve seen people in close battles get screwed because when the timer hits 2 seconds remaining the guy behind just doesn’t brake into a corner or something so that technically they are ahead and get the position when the race ends.

I’m not sure if you are aware of it or not but there is a 9 page thread on the subject here:

“writings on the wall” comes to mind if you read some of the replies carefully.

This is a big issue with timed races in Forza 7. We should be able to see our current lap and all the delta times. It helps so much in endurance racing to stay consistent and keep quick. The method we have now is irrelevant unless you changed it to a total distance meter. A lap time counter with all deltas, race time counter and total distance counter would be perfect.

As for the race finishing straight after the timer, that’s poor too. It should count down and when it hits to 0, it should say, “Final Lap” and the race ends when the first person crosses the line initiating the standard “End of Race” timer.

Timed Races have functioned in this way since Forza Motorsport 3, perhaps even earlier.

It’s possible to have Timed Races function like they do in real life (Gran Turismo 6 and Gran Turismo Sport have proven this, as have other titles), but I doubt it’s going to change any time soon considering how we’ve gone 10 years with the current system and there’s rarely kickback from players about it in comparison to other game design issues.
