Been a Forza fan since Forza 1 and Forza 6 is certainly an improvement over Forza 5. Enjoying it.
One thing I wish would change in the series is a move away from gifting. Gifting used to be an important part of hosting tournaments, because my gaming group would host a private A,B,C,D etc. class tournament, and the winner would be gifted something from the host as a prize. At one point the losers gifted their losing car to the winner. No longer can that happen now, the private tournaments are just… meh, with no prize. “Just for fun” is unfortunately not as much fun.
A suggestion for Forza 7: incorporate some kind of gifting system where you can give credits or cars to other players. Credits could be collected from tourney members and then those used to buy a very expensive car, then that car is gifted to the winner. Or maybe some kind of way that players can buy a Gift Prize Spin, and then give that Gift Prize Spin to a player of choice. This could just be low level winnings like 10,25,50,75k credits or some such. Idea: three types of Gift Prize Spins, bronze (10k credits), silver (25k credits), gold (50k credits), platinum (100k credits), each with appropriate prizes. You purchase it and it asks which friend to send it to, done. They are notified of Gift Prize Spin(s) is available.

I too have been a (Forza) painter for a number of years and feel the decision to leave out gifting will only harm the community.
In my circle of Forza friends I am the main painter. I will often create a design for my team, put the relevant names and numbers on, and gift them out. We looked cool.
Furthermore, friendships were formed just from people wanting to trade designs and vinyls. Removing the storefront has killed this.
I’m not going to boycott the series (I bought an Xbox One solely for this game) or start some internet revolution but feel Turn 10 is doing the community it has grown a huge disservice.
Turn 10, if you read this, please consider adding/patching in a storefront or at least bring back gifting.
I agree wholeheartedly with you and the previous poster. I too spent many hours re-creating Aussie company logos to fit in with the V8 Supercars back in FM3, plus we had access to a huge slue of real manurfacturers logos, which aided many painters more time to create even better designs.
But now, as you stated, many make poorly formed logos that look out of place once placed on various shaped vehicles as they change shape depending on the contours of any vehicle.
It would make the game stronger if they brought back the several pages of proper manufacturing logos, and allowed something similar to the Shopfront and trading of user-based content/skins etc.
I created a skin that racers needed to use I a worldwide comp with Fanatec. The only change each player needed to make was the vehicle race number and drivers name on the roof and doors, plus ad their own country flag.
This applied to a series we ran in V8 Supercars, and everyone pitched in to help create some amazingly beautiful recreations… If Turn10 brought back these abilities, their userbase would certainly grow…
It’s always baffled me why turn 10 took away gifting. I thought it was probably the best community feature we had. I hope they bring it back or at least have it in horizon 3 as I think it would suit that game even more.
