It’s been 15 years since I’ve been in the racing games. My old PS2 gathered dust, my old GT games sat long forgotten.
At Christmas it was time to get back in the game
Thus a nice new Xbox One S was under the tree.
After trying ( and failing) at Project Cars 2 a friend suggested Forza. “It’s gonna be much easier for you to handle to start off with”
He was right. It’s great fun. I like the Career path giving me a way to relearn how to race on a console, I like the way I gain some Showcase events to go try some faster animals of the track. I’m progressing pretty well.
Having now ventured on-line to look around at some features there is one very irritating thing that bugs the [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] out of me.
Why oh why can’t the leader boards be sorted by car!!!
It’s a pain scrolling around to find the times of the car I am using to compare my times. Plus it’s even more of a pain to find they can’t be listed by ‘assists’ - ‘whether tuned’ - etc etc
I’ve been having fun with a stock Lotus E23 (I won it-woop!) around Watkins Short. I don’t think I’m doing bad with a 56.4 after just 20 or so laps - only assist is ABS.
tbh, I would think a time with less assists should be placed higher.
Is the 'you are in the top *% just for that car? or out of the whole range of cars on that track?
My other gripe comes after watching replays of the top times. What are these people doing to these cars? They is a Ferrari going around the whole track at 200mph not even slowing down for the corners or chicane…realistic? me thinks not. So much for me ever having a hope of getting higher up the leader board if I’m competing against this stuff
Anyhoo, overall I’m happy. I’m back in the racing game, having fun and still with plenty to do in Forza 6 before moving onto Forza 7.
Any tips or tricks anyne has for a noob would be much appreciated.
