New to FM7.

I’ve been a regular forza player, I stopped playing after FM7 came out and now I’m having another go.

One question…Do we not build and tune our own cars to compete online anymore??

.
Yes we do! (for both Homologated and/or open-class) Some Rivals events do restrict to Stock, yet, many of their other events are open to your builds/tunes.

And…welcome back to FM7! If you like hot lapping…check out the HLR HLC series… HLR HLCs

.

Thanks for the welcome back.

I get it now I think.
Some events are homolog only.
Some events are stock only.
Some events are class restricted and you build how you please.
This is good.

How does this effect tuning?

I like tuning cars, but if I ever need to properly compete it’s always best to get a community tune because of obvious reasons.
Is it possible to get homologated tunes for hoppers like the muscle cars and endurance ones?

  1. The tuning methodology remains the same for this game for either Homologated or Open-Class. Obviously, as Dan point put above, you do have build restrictions per Division with the Homologated setups.
  2. Yes…just search for the class. Also, when online, you’ll be able to see the tunes that have been shared if you’d like to grab one of those. I have several Muscle tunes available as well.(including Career tunes)

Best of Luck!

Yes it is. Homologation basically gives you a maximum for certain things for example tire width limited to a certain amount. You can adjust all you want but just can’t exceed the limit you are allowed for that car. If you want more HP and have room to increase it you can use narrower tires and more HP and still be Homologated. When you look for community tunes you can tell the ones that comply as they will not have a yellow triangle showing you that something is above the limit. No triangle the tune should be legal.

Awesome.
They haven’t ruined Forza as much as I’d first thought then.
Phew.

Thanks for your help.

You welcome…I see many checkered flags in your future😃
