Multiplayer League Hoppers
April 10 through April 17
Use this thread to share tips, car suggestions, and experiences.
League leaderboards are ordered by points which accumulate from all your played sessions during the week.
Points per race = finish position inverted + bonus for finishing higher than players with a higher skill rating. See the League Info thread or FAQ for explanation about skill rating and Division placement. Credit payouts for each division are awarded based on the leaderboard after the League has reached its end date.
See ManteoMax.com or KudosPrime.com or this thread for a list of cars by Division. Unless otherwise specified, Leagues use Damage=Cosmetic, Collisions=On, Tuning=Allowed, Upgrades=Allowed to the maximum of the specific class restriction. Cars must be currently configured to meet the lobby restriction to appear as available options in the Rent/Buy/My Cars lists, so the list of Rental cars may be partial or empty.
I’m so excited there’s an IndyCar league, but I’m kind of out of luck because of the timing of the the league, I leave for Long Beach Wednesday. I wish it was scheduled May 1 to May 8 because that’s an actual full week off (no races) for people that work in IndyCar.
70s Grand Prix was the cleanest and most enjoyable of all the Leagues I raced in; that’s why I lobbied for it to have its own Hopper a few months back.
That’s a guarantee. Just look at the Lambo League in Elite Division, wreckfest in most races. I can only imagine the amount of retaliation in the Indy Car League. I might try a race or two, if Indy Oval or Daytona Oval pops up, but I doubt I’d race any other tracks, and probably get way too… You know… And I’m getting enough of that in the Lambo League, but dang, I want that ultimate liveried Lambo, as I have every one of them so far from both seasons.
Back to the Indy Car stuff, it wouldn’t be such a wreckfest if everyone knew how to drive in the game. Most do, but some don’t. Driving styles of all that do know how to race are so very different, accidents are inevitable. For my driving style, I have a NASCAR driver’s style, brake when going straight, before the turn, coast through the turn, and power out. Most people I’ve raced against, like to go fast into the turn, that slows down the apex and corner out, but they get away with it because they wreck guys like me because we are too slow into the corners compared to them. And when that happens, the ones who don’t know how to race properly, they will wreck people like me, make us mad, and make it a miserable experience.
With that being said, now that I’ve gotten my thoughts on it out, I will probably skip the Indy Car league. I might sit in a lobby or two and spectate to see how the racers are. If they’re decent, and any wrecks aren’t intentional, I might give it a go, but at this point, all I see is wreck, wreck, thrown controller, broken tv, “Ow, I’m bleeding from my forehead. Aw crap, a piece of my tv got lodged into the front of my head”. lol
I broke down and tried it… Haven’t seen those tracks yet. Which sucks, but oh well.
From what I’ve done so far, not to many intentional wrecks. Just people using automatic braking that screws up anyone, like me, using normal brakes. And the damn traction control users, always plow into me on the starts because I use no assists with the tune I use, which is a modified version of a ForzaTune6 tune. But I can recover most of the time and pass them later on with a different mistake they made, intentional or not. But most racers are clean, and it’s been enjoyable so far…
Can’t wait to see how many knuckleheads get on during mid day Sunday, and Sunday night… Should be interesting. But I’m going to continue with it, and dabble in the Ghost League a bit, just to raise Affinity XP on cars I need it up (going for Max Affinity on ALL manufacturers for the badges, obsessive compulsive). And I’ll step into the Lambo League when I see my leaderboard rank getting close to dropping out of the top 50.
But in summation, the Indy Car League is so far enjoyable for me, and I have a good tune… And that makes all the difference in the world, for me as these cars handle very well, unlike that Super Trofeo, too much wheel spin, too much rear brakes when bias is set to almost 100% front balance… But that rant is for a different time.
Did anyone else not earn any points in the Indy Car league? I ran 3 races earlier this morning and didn’t earn 1 point. It isn’t really a big deal and I will still race in the league, but weird I didn’t receive any points
Did you race when the lobby was closed? I know the IndyCar league had its first lobby sessions from 4AM-10AM (Eastern US time) and another about to go from 1PM-7PM (Eastern US time). That’s happened to me in other leagues, racing for no points. At least you got some experience.
Hmmm I think you could be right, I raced right before the 11am-5pm Lambo league to kill some time, I may have been joined right at or after 10am though (I live in EST time zone). I could be mistaken, but I thought if the league was closed, you couldn’t join the lobby anyways? No big deal, but like you said, at least I got some experience and considering how it went, I could use a little more haha (never really race Indy\F1 cars)
Enjoying C500 Ghosts, but I’d appreciate more real-world track full layouts, and less of the ‘Club Reverse Alt Mirror Mode with surprise chicane’ stuff. And two laps is not a race, guys. At least not on anything shorter than five miles a lap. Thought we left that behind in FM5.
I would be happy with FM5 lap count. There short and odd in fm6.
I have notices woth sim damage and endurance (DOUBLE LAPS) if you crashed out its for ever to until you race again. I think most people don’t wait 20 mins for a race to end and the leaders usually 2 miles most of the field. But we do need more laps
Cant seem to connect to the indy car lobby. This always happens at the beginning of a session. 20 minutes and still cant get in because of the servers! Ridiculous. On a good note, i placed 2nd in modern hypercar.
