I just started using the Microsoft racing wheel and I am looking for good tunes to use with it. I have paddle shifters and pedals
Hello, and welcome to the Forza Forums.
The biggest difference from using the controller is the braking. The brake pedal on the MS Wheel is it is very sensitive when applying the brakes.
My brakes seem to be fully applied with little travel of the pedal. Therefore I use ABS braking to keep the brakes from locking up.
I use a sponge under the brake pedal arm to limit the travel of the arm and to increase the feel of the resistance of the pedal itself.
If you do not want to use ABS braking, then I recommend not using the Manual/Clutch option and use “Manual” instead.
The reason is when using the Manual/Clutch option for shifting, the motor will stall on slow speed corners, especially on hairpins.
The degrees of left-right travel of the steering is small compared to real life car steering and the more expensive sim racing wheels like the Fanatec {best wheel for Forza}
So you have to be careful when turning at faster speeds.
Even when I’m racing on long sweeping curves, I barely have to turn the wheel
The wheel is smoother on the sweeping curves though.
I do a lot better on the Ovals than I do on the Road Tracks with a lot of curves and tight corners.
You can watch some of the top 100 replays on the Leaderboards to get an idea how to race each track.
I have a good tune for you to try on the Sunset Speedway for the Chevy Monte Carlo Stock Car, if you’re interested in Oval racing.
You get a FREE Stock Car at Driver Level 42 I think.
I will send you the Chevy Stock Car if you don’t have it, already built and tuned.
My best lap in it is a 38.960
Good luck and Happy Racing!
Deleted due to double post.
Thanks for the input I have been playing forza for a long time but I just started using wheel. Is the tune for stock car on your SF. If not I will send u a Fr if u don’t mined
Yes, the tune is on my Storefront.
all the tunes on my sf are done on a wheel and free , but to be honest a well balanced tune is a good tune weather it is done on a pad or a wheel.
Here Are some really good higher class tunes that were done on a pad. I especially liked the 99 Viper, I don’t use the higher classes that often but that viper worked well for me.
Thanks deeps I am grateful for the help
TomCat, have you tried adjusting your deadzones to get a better response out of your pedals and steering ? I use the Microsoft speed wheel on my 360 and the Thrustmaster Ferrari wheel on my xbone and both have deadzone adjustments.
