Hello everyone, I am just another car racing enthusiast and I quickly jumped on the Forza 6 Apex PC train Playing the game a couple of hours firstly I need to say it’s more than a sexy looking game (playing on Ultra) and also the gameplay experience feels nice but moving forward and since I can’t use my Steering Wheel and Pedals yet, I am stuck with the Xbox One controller for now. Disabling assistances and playing around I found that when I play I have much more control without ABS but I can’t seem to break. When I am going with like 250 KM/H I hit the breaks to slow down and from that moment the wheels lock and obviously the car is uncontrolable so I have to loosen my break trigger and then go too fast on the break line and as a result hit the wall. What I found helped me a lot was going into Controller Deadzones and pretty much zero-out everything, which gives (in my mind at least) a much more responsive and precise behavior on the limited trigger travel points (from 0 to 100) on the XBONE controller. Even with that set as such, I can’t seem to find the way to be good with breaking. My experience with driving games (only on PC) has been with Steering Wheel and mostly on F1 games. Now can someone explain to me why in F1 real and games when you go with 300+KM/H and you hit the breaks fully in the beginning to progressively release them as you slow down (so you don’t lock your wheels) why the wheels don’t block?! In Forza 6 Apex even on 250 KM/H if you fully hit the breaks they block even on that speed. Is it realistic like that, is it this game’s thing or??? That’s my big question, maybe I am just stupid and noobish alike I don’t know, please don’t go hard on me
A couple more irrelevant questions. I can’t for the life of me change my in game name, DrearierPage258 like what’s that supposed to mean?! Note here that I don’t own an Xbox (just the controller for PC gaming purposes) and I logged in with my account on Xbox live for the 1st time did some looking around and changed the username there to what I want but it doesn’t change it seems in game.
Finally can someone explain to me what the actual … Drivatar is? I looked on google and found stuff for the Xbox Forza 6 version, I get it and it sounds nice but in the PC even though the game mentions it “the heart of your driving” etc I can’t seem to find how that helps me or how to enable it or if it even exists.
I know this is still beta and things will get fixed in the future, I am just asking in this big post basically if I am just being stupid or blind (settings being in front of you and your brain decides to ignore them so you look around hopelessly) or those things aren’t just here yet and will come in the future. Any help would be greatly appreciated
