Hey everyone i need some help sourcing a logo for a design. This is the best image i can find of the logo in question though on a different car. Its the ‘ADVANCE’ logo
You don’t need a reference. That font is in the game. You just tilt all the letters the same amount, and thicken them up by overlaying them. The V is all you have to change, which you can figure out. The easiest way to tilt all the letters the same is to cut/paste them, and then change the pasted letter for a different letter. So you have…
A
Tilt it
A
Cut/paste seven times
AAAAAAA
If you put a line under them you can keep them level…
AAAAAAA
Change the A for a D
ADAAAAA
Then the V
ADVAAAA
etc.
Then thicken them all up by Pasting each one over the top of each other, and move them to the side, top, bottom. You can scale them up a bit on top. If you keep cutting, and pasting changing the letters they will all have the same work done to them.
Then fix the V.
I hear what your saying mate. Have done it that way before. Reason I posted here looking for the logo was because I like to be able to see what I am working from so I can copy it. This way I can ensure the dimensions and spacing are correct (ish). With this one I don’t even know what kind of product it is so have no idea where to look for it.
I’m exactly the same way- I can’t find anything, but if you know whose car it is (or another car with the same logo) you can try looking for lists of sponsors to see if you can find them (no idea who they are or what they make here either).
Have you looked it up in-game to see if someone else has already created it? When making logos, I usually look for a user-created logo of the logo I want to create and then I use it to create my own logo and then delete the original. If I am not happy with the User-generated logos that are available I will find the logo on google search and use it as a visual reference. If nothing else I agree with Aqua, just use the font in-game and give it a slant.

That’s a basic logo. All capital letters with what appears to be about 40-50 skew and the ‘V’ drops down half the height of each letter but remains level at the top. If there is no close font in-game, you can make the letters individually. That’s way more time-consuming, but is realistically the only way to get the logo spot-on. I’ve done that with a ton of logos, namely COMPUTERVISION, Mobil1, and TECFRIGO.
EDIT: For the ‘D’ and ‘C’: start with the ‘C’. Use one of the curved, soft-edge vinyls to shape the curve, then cut off the ends with rectangles/triangles. To make the ‘D’, flip to the other side of the car and insert the ‘C’ from the other side. Reverse the skews of all vinyls from the inserted, backwards ‘C’ and add a final rectangle to make the left edge of the ‘D’ flush with the top and bottom of the reversed ‘C’. I think I made that sound way more confusing than it really is. If so, I can explain it in a different manner if needed.
Hey all. Thanks for the reply’s. I have managed to sort it. Had to just use basic shapes to get the dimensions as the in-game fonts didn’t work. Still have no idea what the sponsor is for. Might not be 100% accurate but it works for me
