A lot of these are just colors. That being said the actual designs are simple yet tasteful and suite the road driving in Horizon. Good job, just keep painting and you’ll get better and better.
Thank you so much for your advice! The problem I’ve always had with the Forza games is the fact that any logo you download and apply to your design is locked, so I’m unable to share designs around sponsors/logos. And I just don’t have the talent/time to choose a specific manufacturer/brand (ex. AudiSport, Martini, Rothman’s), publish a complete livery with correct stripe/shading angles, secondary sponsor logos, and it actually look like a replica. I “traced” one of the [SCG_] logos to put on my designs from this point on, and that took almost 2 hours, just on one logo. So if I wanted to design the Lancia below, and not be able to just download and apply the sponsors/stripes to replicate that livery, it would probably take WEEKS with my “talent” level lol. I am gonna keep trying though! Thanks again.

To be honest, i wouldn’t start learning to paint with a replica.
Not say don’t, but half the battle is understanding the editors in and outs in vinyls to create the designs and logos. half the time going nuts using trial and error is the best way!
Why don’t you start by picking say a tire manufacturer, few parts companies, wheel company and turbo logo and basing a design on that? eg Pirelli, HKS, Sparco Greddy etc.
It will get you in a good starting point to create a few logos and put a design together. Tracing some of the ingame manufacturer decals was how I learnt to do it like many have.
Don’t expect a design to fall in place in a few hours, or days. A bit of time, effort and patience in creating a few logos every few days and you’ll be able to makes liveries like no tomorrow!
If you need any pointers along the way, just post up. We are a helpful bunch over here so don’t be afraid to ask questions no matter how stupid you think it is, we all started out at one point in time.
Good luck and look forward to seeing more in future

I really appreciate the insight AB. I’m going to take your advice and try a Pirelli livery. I actually didn’t even know about the tracing aspect of doing these graphics before I did the [SGC_] logo. Pretty excited actually! I’ll hopefully post a finished product soon. If I need any help, I may reach out to you guys, you’ve been awesome.
Well that’s what were here for. The game doesn’t lie when it directs you to the forums. Unfortunately too many “gold car” painters seem to ignore it.
Best of luck with your design and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
Cheers, Ace
Well said by AB and ACE!!
can not agree more, two of the best painter just gave you advise. this is where i got my advise where and how to start painting.
the paint thread is full of great like minded people all making or looking to make designs, steady, slow and simple to start off with and you will be amazed on how things turn out after a few months of painting,
keep at it dude and don’t give in and try and not take note of the people that just say its no good but don’t tell you why because they are the ones that prob can’t manage to paint a circle and that starts in the game
