Sometimes, if there was an update or change to your live status the game will uninstall the car pass or individual DLC cars. Just gotta go to the Xbox store and install the car pass again. It’ll take a minute for the cars to download but they should be immediately available when you click install. Minor annoyance, but not too bad.
10 times out of 10 that’s usually the problem for me if the error message “you need to purchase blah blah blah” pops up.

Exactly what I was thinking. That car pack isn’t with car pass or at least that’s what it states in the description.
It was added free to those with the car pass
It is with the car pass if it’s free to car pass owners. This was stated on here, the WIR, and maybe in game but I’m not sure.

Free to car pass owners
I have the car pass, and I got the Barret Jackson cars for Free.
I’ve yet to figure out why the Car Pass itself is no longer an actual DLC file. It was and always has been until FH4.
I found out about it when my internet went out and I tried to enter the FXX. It said I didn’t own the DLC and my only options were to delete the car or go to the store and buy the DLC. In FH4, as opposed to games prior, when you “download” the “Car Pass”, it downloads every individual 10mB car file instead of like it used to be in FH3, FM6, FH2, etc where you just needed the Car Pass DLC file present to access the cars included.
I guess it’s because of the new release style, but I could be wrong. Still, several hundred megabytes of storage space wasted instead of one 10mB Car Pass.
Reinstall it, then restart your console. It should work then.
