My (almost) No Forza Aero Tuning Shop/Project Multiclass

True, but he was on race tires and therefore didn’t have a chance. Was a nice back and forth tho until he had to pit.

I also think the Zonda on sports tires is the better choice. I now notice that I always doubt whether the car will make it to the end of the race on sports tyres, but that is often doable.

The doubt also comes from the new tuning. Have the feeling that tire wear has good parameters. Not only weight and distance, but the scrubbing of the tires in corners also has an influence. Cars with little downforce glide more and have more wear and tear. I had applied my new setups to the GT2 corvette and it was planned in such a way that I had the idea that the tires wore out much less quickly than before. Also had way too much downforce on the car than was needed now.

And yes, the Huayra does indeed have weird brakes, before Jockelzockt started talking about it I thought it was always my fault. But there is a point that the car suddenly needs a completely different brake pressure. Far from ideal, especially when braking downhill before the chicane at Road Atlanta.

I thought this was a nice racing series and hope that Turn 10 will give us R900 series more often in the future. Who knows, maybe the competitive players will then also think more about the setups they have to use.

Now it does indeed seem that setups are used for the short 10 minute races, these are totally useless for the 20 minute races. The better players don’t stand a chance.

That completes the circle of starting this post.
When I see how many people are happy with it, I’m glad I started it, and thank you so much for working on it too.

Who knows, maybe in the future we’ll have really competetive lobbies outside of spec races.

My tune didn’t work at all for this track. I had several splits for low 55’s but due to massive corner exit oversteer I couldn’t bring it home. A better driver than me will do easy 54’s with the Zonda and I’m quite sure now it’s faster than the Hyuara and the overall fastest car for this series.

LOL!!

So much respect to HammySigvard for driving the Nevera to the end of the race and finish 6 overall
That’s commitment, I sometimes drive it in the pre race practice and it’s not fun to drive at all..

The Zonda is always been a strong car but, now with my new tuning, i find it more difficult to get it out of the corners fast.
Its making my lap-times more inconsistent then before. But its very fast when it all comes together. Just another little reminder i’m not Max Verstappen…

I did some brief testing on Road America in rivals and my times were:

Huayra - 1.58.1
Zonda - 1.58.3
One:1 - 1.59.0
Senna - 1.59.1
Divo - 1.59.2
Valhalla - 1.59.3

All sport tyre tunes. Valhalla is no aero (such a fun car but burns through tyres). Quite a clear gap between the Paganis and the rest (Senna will probably close that gap on more grip based tracks). That’s obviously just with my tunes and I didn’t try and amend them at all to suit RA.

Yeah, sports turned out to be faster. Initially expected tire wear to play a bigger role. In the end it was only Hakone where the streets build Valhalla achieved the faster race time.

My Nordschleife test also has both Paganis at the top:

Huayra 6:22.387
Zonda 6:23.544
One:1 6:24.443
Jesko 6:24.460
Valhalla (streets) 6:24.529
Senna 6:25.597
Divo 6:26.706 (lacks top end for Nordschleife)
Apollo 6:27.190
Veyron 6:28.510
MB AMG One 6:31.634 (awful car)
Nevera 6:43.574 (slower than S cars on sports)

But compared to the 6:17 of a no aero GMA they are all poor.

I’m for whatever reason always slightly faster in the Zonda

So, i’m scanning the update 19 post. But I cannot figure out what’s going to be tomorrow’s features series or class..

Maybe i’m just not reading the right thing, but what do I need to be tuning for tomorrow? And were did you find that information for the upcoming weeks?

I can only see “Porsche Motorsport Multi-Class”.
Could be race cars only but also mixed like the BMW series earlier.

Thanks. That’s the only thing I found to. So its not my reading skills. Waiting until tomorrow then.

It’s mixed (like BMW Multi Class series) and rotates daily. Something like “Modern Porsche Race cars”, “Retro Porsche Race cars” “Modern production cars” etc..

@Stingray81nl Noticed we were in the same lobby earlier for the Porsche multiclass race at Bathurst.

You were quick for a non-meta build user :+1:

Thanks. Still searching for the right upgrades. The thing with B600 is that it can work with street tires and sport. I choose street at Bathurst, but sport is the faster pick there.

The thing I remember is that I didn’t stand a chance at you up front.

It was my first race in the 924 in B class. Threw a quick sport tyre build on it with an experimental tune and was pleasantly surprised with how it drove. Hit 149mph on the longest straight which is decent for Forza aero (set max f/min r)

Didn’t notice what tyres P1 used. They were rapid on the straights with insane acceleration though.

Small update.

All cars are being retuned with my new front end and steering sharpness.
I think it’s a big improvement myself, but it will take a while before everything is adjusted. I’ll start with all the Porsches, then what I like myself. If you’re in doubt about which tune is the new or the old, pay attention to the date. Everything from April 7th is new, before that is old. These are more neutral in terms of setup, which makes them a bit easier to drive, but the new ones are always faster in terms of lap time.

Also a special mention for the dumbest racing class since the start of Forza Motorsport.
Really brilliant to have the S800 class from yesterday consist of 2 cars. One a META car, the GT1, hard to beat in any class. On the other hand the RSR..
I love the RSR, I would love to drive it a lot, but unfortunately.. The tire logic doesn’t make it a competitive car anywhere.

The standard tires don’t make it to the end of the race, this must be some kind of vintage race tire, and race tires don’t work for a longer race either. Street and sports tires are nowhere to be found for some truly illogical reason.

This is a big problem with several cars by the way. Tires are the most important choice for tuners and how they build the car further.

The new to Forza 935 also has this problem, both 917’s do have sports tire choices, very strange. The 1960 Porsche 718 RS 60 also has “vintage” race tires.

Who knows, there might already be a post about this in the suggestion forum, I’d like to hear it, then I’ll vote too. Otherwise I’ll never get there, like so many others here..

A small rant, but generally a nice month because Porsche is simply the best brand in the world… Carrera GT…

Yes, S class is a bit of a nonsense, especially when you consider that the 95 and 82 911s are two of the very best S class cars and could compete with the GT1 on a lot of tracks (instead they are B class options only I think).

Fortunately, it also has regular sport tires. Unlike the 935 which renders it useless for the event. But even with them I doubt it would have a chance against both 917. They seem superior anyway.

R894 917/20 for regular tracks, turbocharged R900 917 LH for speed tracks.
