people in real life can have manual. But at least in a game I look for maximum performance in each model. and the manual golf 8r is a drag. other than that it behaves like a 7 or worse. It has a bug, the steering wheel is smaller, the sound does not sound like the Akrapovic should sound. The speedometer rpm is bugged. and then the performance that I put higher even with +400hp a golf r with that power in real life falls easily to 4 seconds in forza no. When fully tuned you would do about 2.8-3 seconds since you use smooth wheels here neither and full tuned forza horizon 5 has 717hp and motorsport I think I remember about 650-670.
then I also checked both forza motorsport 6 and 7 audi s3 vs golf 7r that it would be the same car and the s3 humiliates it on the straight and in everything
@Boriis7, look what I found: I heard Playground Games used a DSG Golf R for the sound recording of FH5, but they end up giving us the Manual ones for the game, which is ridiculous. However, the DSG farts can be heard.
Yes, I knew that before leaving fh5. That’s why I had hope that the Golf R would sound like it should. and they would be dsg… but they continued with the bad setup and on top of that, the manual’s poor performance
I doubt they will replace the one we have ingame since its fully scanned and everrything they would only add the DSG when there is no manual option for example the facelifted R but if that had a manual too it would probably been added instead of the DSG the Golf is just one of those vehicles where they just add the manual until there is no manual option. The same thing happened to the Mustang the GT500 wasnt manual because it didnt have a manual option and then the S650 came and they went back to manual perhaps they did this with the Golf because its known to have a manual but if it was a newer nameplate they would go automatic the only exception so far is the 911 when it comes to iconic nameplates that are still in production today
And as a bavarian american I am a massive fan of the manual Golf to be honest
Do I think they knew the DSG was faster? Yes but there arent that many Drivers cars of this decade out there(Forza seems to add both lap time hunting cars and drivers cars) compared to previous decades so I guess that could be reason number 2 why they didnt go for DSG
And at the end of the day its a Volkswagen if you want a modern hightech premium VW go for the Audi S3(which is not ingame cause there is the faster RS3 and we have the Golf R instead of it because its the King of the Golfs) And honestly the NA Golf R looks so much better than it used to be with the 7.5 the change from independent side markers instead of the orange housings has made the NA spec Golf R look so much better to be honest and the manual also makes the interior somewhat less minimalistic(DSG doesnt even have a shifter I really hate minimalism) which is also why I prefer the manual the I saw a video where someone hit 0-100 in a manual Golf R in 5.6 seconds so it isnt that bad sure the DSG may destroy it but the Golf is a drivers car and made for enthusiasts the extra connection to the driver on a manual car is just something that cant be replicated on a automatic and automated manual
The 2 dsg haters don’t have the slightest idea. look at the times with the golf r mk8 DSG ALL. AND FADE THE MK7. IN FORZA MOTORSPORT 6 AND 7 YOU HAD THE S3 DSG AND GOLF R AND WITH THE S3 YOU DESTROYED THE GOLF R. ACCORDING TO THEM FORZA IS MADE FROM SCRATCH AND THE PERFORMANCES OF THE GOLF R ARE TERRIBLE FOR A CAR OF ITS CONDITION. MAN MACHINE CONNECTION? COME NOW. NO ONE WANTS TO STEP ON THE CLUTCH AND THEY COULD HAVE SHIFT Paddles AND THE DSG S MODE
Video games like this never simulate transmission failures. You’re putting real life events on a video game world like FH5 for example. I urge you to stop all of this because you are not supposed to have long & continuous arguments like this.
The car is already a Manual in-game as I keep telling you several times to simply enjoy your manual Golf R peacefully instead of complaining about it having a DSG option. That’s all I will say. Now it would be better if you leave me and Boriis7’s opinions alone.
Who do you call your nerd? If you are a nit who knows nothing about the performance of the Volkswagen R. in the forza they have recreated it badly. And since it took 6 years and it was made from scratch, I asked them to fix it and update the DSG. It is a game and in a game I look for the best performance in each model and the manual does not give it to me. here every tenth counts. In real life, as I already mentioned, everyone who has what they want doesn’t matter to me, I’ll stay with my DSG.
Well, we’re still in the same boat. When will Forza do something that actually refreshes things and stops recycling everything? Honestly, I was hoping it would at least sound like the track you recorded for Horizon 5, but not even that…
