I haven’t had this happen to me yet, but I’ve seen other players be able to start driving before the 3 second timer is up.

I’ve also witnessed this on Super GT’s livestream. When it happened to him, he also lost all car sounds for the duration of the race. Music was still playing, but no engine or tire squeal.
I believe this is a randomly occurring bug, and not an exploit that players can reproduce intentionally.
Had this happen to me. Pretty sure this happens to players right before they crash out. I was able to get through about 1/8-1/4 of a lap after this happened then I my game freezes up & crashes. I haven’t been able to play online so I have no idea if this happens & then allows you to finish a race. Seems to be major issues with MP. They have recently updated Forza 5 & 6 servers though, if you were wondering.
I’ve seen this a couple of times in MP races as well. Apparently, they have yet another bug to knock out.
Can confirm. Had this happen at least once per evening when playing with friends on Xbox.
