Multiplayer - Being assigned wrong class in Multi-Class Series (1794707)

As the title says, I’ve seen it now multiple times, people assigned C-class cars in Group #1 which is meant for E-class cars.

Group #1 was filled with E-class cars and one C-class car on this instance, but all of the E-class cars left because this just isn’t fair.

I don’t know how they do it. It could be due to loading a tune in the setup manager, or some other way…

Tho they are put in wrong group at starts, and start I’d wrong position (blocking other players), they still need to W8 for thier class to start, and they do race with thier class. But yeah, multiclass races are quite bugged.

No, they actually start with the other drivers in E class and are on the E class final results whilst still in their C class car.

I had this bug happen to me once, last week, I was in a class car but got into group with C class, but I started with a class players, tho I was starting from pole position in c class (and c/b playes had to avoid my car), in results I also was with a class cars even tho my pin had different colour on minimap.

Okay, so it can happen randomly? Good to know, I thought it was an exploit. And the bug also doesn’t seem very consistent.

I have seen it happen once too.

I tried to replicate the issue, but the game would not allow my attempts

So I guess it is just a random network glitch or server bug when the player changes groups intentionally and the lobby does not update completely.

Still an issue in update 12:

Im see this bug more often now, guess some players cracked the code, and abuse this exploit to have favorable starting position.

Still an issue.

This is still an issue in Update 13.

I saw this for the first time last night. I was A class and a car infront on the grid (so presumably B class) ghosted and didn’t start with other B class. They also had the same colour icon (red) as the other B class entrants. Then I started but on the first lap this “B class” blew past me. Made me wonder if they were cheating or something as the speed difference was significant.

At the end of the race (they won) on the leaderboard their class colour was still showing red/b-class but you could now see their car was actually an S class rated car.

This was multiclass, Silverstone full, approx 10pm UK time.
