What are the most satisfying cars to drive in Forza 7 with a steering wheel setup? This doesn’t mean fastest or cars with the most grip. Something you can get in and truly enjoy the driving experience while having the most fun.
My Top Five in no particular order are:
Porsche 959
Ferrari F40
Ford GT40
Porsche 935
Audi IMSA Quattro
2013 Mazda MX-5 Cup Spec… Yes, it is a slow little D Class Car but when you race, everyone has to use it (it’s the only one in the class). Really makes you focus on your driving rather than the build.
Quick list of ones in recent memory I enjoyed more than others:
Aston Martin DBS (Bone stock)
Shelby GT350R
Ferrari 512 BB/LM
1970 Chevy Camaro (Homologated with proper tune)
Mitsu Evolution IX (Again, homologated with a good tune and rearward AWD bias)
I don’t know… I played it with a wheel on Spa and I really liked how it drove. I also have a G920. If the FFB gives you issues you can message me for my setup.
Lola T70 MkIII - Wow! Awesome car! Very fast and surprisingly easy to drive! Made me feel like a champion on Indy! I used RaceBoy’s tune. Wouldn’t change a thing.
Audi IMSA Quattro - I ran this in career. Very impressed, bone stock! Fantastic drive!
Other previous favorites:
Ferrari 512 BB/LM - Man, this car is a screamer! Even better than FM6, I think. (And that is saying something!)
In the Historic Road Racing Division, there are tons to choose from. The ones that have stood out to me are:
AMC Rebel - Man, awesome car, believe it or not! Fantastic sound too. (This was an eye-opening new car for me.)
'69 T/A - Always great. Light, fast, great handling.
1971 Plymouth Cuda 426 HEMI - With an excellent tune, this car is great.
1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427 - This baby flat hauls, and handles well with a good tune.
Look for tunes on the above cars from a recent tuning comp put on by crash220. If interested, see the thread “Historic Road Racing Homologation Hot Lap Challenge & Tuning Comp at Road Atlanta” for the cars I’m talking about.
Also, I tuned a '69 GTO for Road Atlanta Club that is really good. Great on all handling tracks and is a hoot on Maple Valley.
Also, the Ferrari P4 seems excellent now. I was really surprised, as it wasn’t very good in FM6. I’m glad it now drives as good as it looks!
I recently got a wheel so I am a newbie there, so for me I like to play lower class cars to slowly get used to it. So I am playing the Modern Hatch Class C for example, any car is fine.
Great suggestions so far. I just bought the Spec MX-5 Miata, 512 BB, One:1 and Lola T70. I’ll let you know if I agree with these suggestions a little later tonight.
Saving up for the P1 GTR as I have heard good things about this one also.
I only just got mine but i was able to get myself in the top 100 worldwide for Indys at Long Beach with the G920. I much prefer the feel of it to the controller. I havent tried any of the high end wheels but thie experience on mine was great
The Ford GT you race and receive in the Careers is really nice to drive. Good brakes as well. 2017 Ford GT FE and the Little 2017 Focus FE are pretty decent
