So I was wondering which cars sound the best in Forza 5, not including f1 cars. My favorite sounding so far is the SRT Viper GTS.

I just love the sound of my skyline or my S2000
meh. i wish they’d left us with the AP1. Goes to 9000. that’s 1000 more revs of Vtec. and i wish the exhaust sound was more aggressive, especially once you add performance exhausts. and, finally, we should have the option to switch to a single-exit because it’d save weight. you don’t need dual exhaust for a 4-cyl.
that being said, my favorite sounding cars would be:
- anything with an LS swap.
- Dodge Viper ACR
- Lexus LFA. absolutely amazing, that car.
Personally I still have alot of cars to drive and test out. So far though my 2000 Cobra R with Full Exhaust just sounds amazing. For some reason though, once the engine is upgraded the sound changes too much and loses it Deep V8 roar and get’s too high pitched. In second it would have to be my Evo 8. Car has a fully built 2.4 liter engine and full turbo. Fantastic track car. Handles great and the turbo sounds are much improved over Forza 4. You can actually hear the turbo spool up nicely now. For race cars, I don’t quite have the money yet to pickup the F1 car or any of the GT cars yet but I have rented the Indy cars and wow do they sound amazing. They did a great job of capturing the high revving V6 engines of those cars. You really can lose yourself in the moment when you are in one of those in cockpit view riding around Indy or Spa.
Some cars do sound a little weak though and could use a bump in the sound department though. I believe the one area that needs improvement on is the sound of the cars once the engines have been upgraded. Especially once Cams have been added. Whether a 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, or higher; once you put cams into an engine the idle sound of that car changes completely to a much more agressive sound. The Loping sound of the cams is missing on cars when sitting at idle.

Lol yup by far…the last thousand before the limiter is magic. And the 787B does it for me too. Problem is with the Mazda you have to concentrate a lot more on the driving so don’t get as much time to appreciate it.

Actually the 787B sounded much better in Forza 4. It’s way to quite in Forza 5. Actually I find many of the cars are quite muted compared to Forza 4, especially in cockpit view. Many time in cockpit view in-race I can’t hear my own car over the engine noise of the cars driving around me! It’s really quite ridiculous and something Turn 10 needs to fix ASAP. But yeah the 787B should be the best sounding car in the game and it absolutely is NOT… Such a shame.
I agree 100% and it’s even worse from hood view. This sucks because the sound quality is definitely increased and more accurate.
Guys****** Try going to your audio options in forza 5 and changing between “TV” and “HOME THEATRE”, this can help a little.
My favorites are Viper GTS, Dodge SRT4 ACR, '95 Mustang Cobra, Ferrari Stradale, Holden HSV
For me, 1965 Shelby Cobra & 2003 Toyota Celica (with race exhaust).
