More cars getting the better engine swaps

More engine swaps for more manufacturers.

Problem:

  1. The cars that get these “OP” engine swaps are much better in terms of pace.

  2. This makes far less cars viable to race in lobbies.

  3. The 6.2L V8, 4.3L, 2.0L-T, 2.6L-TT are all down on power.

  4. Stock engines need a buff. “Specifically Turbo engines”

Solution:

  1. Buff the 2.0L-T, 4.3L, and 6.2L engines.

  2. Add the 2.0L 3.2L and 3.7L to most cars

  3. Manufacturers that would benefit the most.
Chevrolet, Audi, Aston Martin, Pontiac, Porsche, Nissan (skylines) and Toyotas.

I feel like a change like this would help to balance out all the cars and make most of the cars more viable in lobbies.

Personally I think all manufactured cars should get the same engine swaps. Excluding a few broken cars. For example: the Porsche 911 strassenversion. Cars that get crazy handling like this would ruin lower boards and racing with these lower engine swaps.

Please add to it guys. If you guys do alot of class racing and feel you could add to this. Please do. This is just a fix I think would be beneficial to the game in the long run. I will dig a little deeper and add to this post.

I like the idea however I feel like adding more engine swaps for more manufacturers could be a double edged sword. My concern, as Karma pointed out, is cars like the 911 GT1 or a Bugatti Veyron in C class because they are running a K20 engine swap. Yes, they would be underpowered and possibly heavy but the lateral gs would be insane.

Also, I believe most engines would become obsolete competitive-wise if solution 2 was implemented to most cars. Eventually, 80+% of cars in A class would be running the V6 swap, for example.

The best solution imo would be addressing problem 4 as Karma mentioned. The stock engines NEED a buff as well as the other engines stated as solution 3. What I’d like to propose is use the “OP” engines as a base for performance and find a way to balance the other engines up (or close enough) to their standard. By the way, the aspiration upgrades should be looked at as well - most of us are aware that the centrifugal supercharger is the best choice overall performance wise. I think they could be improved as in have their actual characteristics implemented as well as a performance boost.

Obviously, the Trueno’s 4A-GE engine will not be as strong as the V6 considering how old the engine is compared to the latter, however, what are upgrades there for? It could be reaaally benefitial to open class in general if more engines were actually capable of being competitive through upgrades.

and please… PLEASE: buff the RB26. There is no way a legendary engine such as the RB26 should so bad lol.

Look around for engine swap suggestions in the Car Modeling subsection, maybe make some more precise posts yourself too.
