Monaco

Where the hell is Monaco, we were told that Monaco was confirmed and excusing my lapse in geography but it ain’t there. Nice is there, very nice it is too but no Monaco, how can you have a prestige driving game on the French riviera and not have Cote d’ Azur

Source?

I don’t recall anyone confirming Monaco. It’s also probably not included due to licensing over anything else.

I never saw anything that said Monaco was confirmed. If anything it may be a DLC package considering Monaco geographically is located just to the right of the map.

My thoughts exactly, A racing game set in a freeroaming southern Europe and you exclude arguably the mos legendary cities for racing. also furiously surprised not to find at least 1, AT LEAST 1, Driving course or numerous race tracks located in southern Europe, what a missed opportunity to capitalize on the versatility of your racing franchise to feature at least one of the many tracks on which you can take your cars out of the freeroam world and onto the asphalt proving grounds of the brilliant driving physics in this game.

Monaco was never confirmed or promised. Even then, most people would just want it for the f1 course. As with any real world racetracks, I’m site there would be plenty of money, licensing, and negotiating to take place to allow them in the game. Realistically, a fantasy track would be more probable but then again that is motorsport territory not horizon

I imagine having Monaco would probably take away their artistic freedom as everyone would just be looking for a one-to-one recreation of what they see in the F1. Gritty-accurate recreations are supposed to be T10’s territory, not PG’s.

Here’s a guideline.

Things that are “confirmed” about Forza have the following attributes:

  • An unequivocal statement or presentation of something specific. For instance, a screenshot showing a plane on a runway is not confirmation that planes are flyable vehicles in the game. A statement that along the lines of “we were inspired by [a location]” is not confirmation that the location is featured in the game.
  • The statement is made an employee of the developers or publisher. Assertions made by outlets who do not quote any such employee are not confirmed.
  • The statement is viewable by the public for review.

Things that are the opposite of “confirmed”:

  • Rumors based on wishes
  • Conclusions based on thin air or poor math
  • Assumptions based on past circumstances
  • “Probably” and “most certainly” and “there’s no way…”

Things that are “trolling” and against forum Code of Conduct:

  • False accusations claiming promises and something “confirmed” with no source to back it up.

In lieu of a source, a retraction would be a good idea.

We were NEVER promised Monaco - that was a user-created rumour.
