Not Everyone is an experienced driver who knows when to block, when to let off, let someone take the line and not cut them off.

If you want clean races, join a league. That is the only way to solve your issue.

I’ve found you need to find a lobby and stick with it. The crashers will get fed up or eventually kicked and those of you that are serious racers tend to stick around. Might take several races to separate the wheat from the chaff but generally you can tell who the clean racers are so if you race clean with them they’ll race clean with you and then just ask for someone to be kicked if they haven’t already been.

^This. I’ve also noticed the higher class lobbies have less crashers in them. And in the defense of “no collisions” lobbies, sure it’s not the same as having contact, obviously. But when you get into crashing lobbies all night, why not join one. They’re completely skill based.

Also as with any online game, find a lobby of people with mics. It makes for a much better experience. You can let people know you’re coming up behind them, apologise for collisions and generally have more fun. Communication is key to online gaming, and even though every Xbox one shipped with a Kinect until this month, people still won’t use them. They should have mic on restrictions for lobbies for those who so choose.
