Midnights At Horizon (Series 19) info

Overall good update. My only disappointment is that the tire profile changes are only available for a small number of cars in certain categories.

I wanted to take advantage of these upgrades on more cars, as I prefer to play with these cars that are not suitable for off-roading, upgrading them for off-road racing.

Cars like the Dodge Demon with bash bars and huge off-road tires, or the NA MX-5 with Rocket Bunny fenders and huge off-road tires would have definitely looked crazy off-road beast.

Hopefully future updates will include more vehicles for this upgrade.

I think something to do with it could have the fact that there is an expansion with 10 new cars being released alongside the update  I’m surprised that we’re not getting only 4 recycled cars in these circumstances, as it was before with the Anniversary Update or the Series 10 update released alongside the Hot Wheels expansion (it was the one with Extreme E).

Not just 4 new cars but new wide bodykits as well! Good job!!

ANTI-LAG & LAUNCH CONTROL

  • Visit the Tuning & Upgrades menu at any Horizon Festival Outpost or Player House to fit the new anti-lag system to your favorite cars. This feature is available to all vehicles with a turbocharged engine and delivers more power while producing awesome flame effects and fire-cracker audio.
*Launch Control has been added as a new assist option that can be toggled on or off.

(CONSOLE ONLY) STEERING WHEEL ROTATION SUPPORT

  • Steering Rotation – This sets the range of steering degrees of rotation on your wheel device but does not affect the Steering Lock.
  • Steering Lock Multiplier – This sets the angle formed by the front of the vehicle and the direction of front tires at maximum steering angle. The lower this value, the lower the angle will be.
  • Steering Speed Sensitivity – This sets the amount of Steering Lock of the car with speed. Lower value will provide a lower steering lock at high speed. By default (1.0) the steering lock does not change with speed.

(PC ONLY) NVIDIA DLSS 3 & REFLEX

PC players using NVIDIA RTX 40 Series GPUs can boost their Forza Horizon 5 framerates to new heights by enabling DLSS 3.0. This feature allows for silky smooth gameplay with over 120 FPS at 4K. Check out the benchmarks below for DLSS 3.0 performance at 4K and 1440p resolutions on RTX 40 Series GPUs.

TIRE PROFILE SIZE

This option can be enabled on every tire compound, allowing players to increase the height of tires to maximize the available wheel arch space. As tire height is a component in gearing, the PI of the vehicle will increase while the gearing becomes “taller.” Increasing the tire height also raises the car’s ride height, giving more ground clearance. All players can utilize this feature regardless of owning Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure.

  • Extended night-time and neon decorations will be visible in the open world for a limited time, from March 30 until April 27.
  • The EventLab Blueprint Builder expands with 26 new Rally props, available to all players regardless of whether they own Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure.

FESTIVAL PLAYLIST

From this series onwards, Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure players will find two exclusive events available every week on the Festival Playlist. These will include a Seasonal Championship and PR Stunt set in Sierra Nueva and are unlocked by winning the Horizon Badlands Goliath. While completion of these events contributes points to your Festival Playlist completion, they are not required to unlock new reward cars, earn “Gold” on a series or unlock the “Min, Meet Max” achievement. Furthermore, non-expansion owners will not feel increased difficulty in unlocking new series reward cars, as their points requirements remain the same as before.

Yeah this update is looking really nice. :+1:
They finally fixed that annoying black widow bug that i hated, and nothing but Banger new cars.
First update in awhile where i’m actually excited to start playing again.

I like Caddy’s. The ATS-V already in the game actually surprised me on dirt and I got to race with a dev in it. It’s nice that we have some new ones coming.

This is the best ever Forza Horizon 5 update so far because there are no recycled cars from FH4 in this update.

Promised neon…not the under car illumination I had hoped for. That would have added something to the extended nights.

Can we get some pictures of these so called “rally bodykits”? It’s especially interesting that full-on rally monsters have them available (Hoonigan Focus, Ford RS200).

Unfortunately it looks like extended night time is only temporary. That’s quite disappointing.

I love the LC 500 and it’s better late than never.

I have a good theory that PG is testing the code so that it’ll be better optimized for the next iteration of FH.

Yay ! Paid open beta testing !

I wasn’t being sarcastic in that regard. Just one theory.

Providing positive feedback and constructive criticism to this new game mechanic is a beneficial effort.

The only example they showed in the stream was a Ford Focus, but most of the cars are probably the same generic rally kit.
Also, as you can see from this image, the widebody kit and the rally kit can be used together.

I watched the livestream earlier and though the map did look slightly better than I initially thought, the main thing that caught my eye was the Wheel rotation angle being brought back in. Been begging for this for a long time. Hopefully they deliver as wheels have been well overlooked in the past.

If only they would get the LSB / RSB buttons to actually function on the Logitech G920 and above. Not sure how they perform on other wheels. They have never worked in any FH or FM game and now that FH5 has so many reasons to have it working - Hoods, Track type car configurations, not to mention the reset car when you get beached on a rock, it needs to be sorted. Only option I have at the moment is to fire up a controller for a second or so just to press these buttons when they are on the wheel already but can’t be used.
Also - as I’ve been asking and ticketing on for months - FIX the Wheel Mapping !!! I need an E-Brake !!! without having to switch to a controller.

I’m a bit disappointed. I was expecting full bodykits and we got some lights and bash bars. It’s something, but still not great. Doesn’t help that the Forza lights and bash bar don’t look good on the majority of rally builds.

Credit where credit is due, this is a very solid looking update, in my opinion. I’m thrilled to see the LC500, been hoping for that to be added since FH4. I’m also very pleased to see the Black wing Caddy’s as well. I honestly didn’t think there was any chance they’d get added, but I’m glad they did.
And the Rimac is… It’s fine. Better than adding a recycled car I’d say.

No returning to Forza cars that means all 4 cars are new to Forza as well new bodykits and more it’s the best update like ever seen before.
