This week will be as good as it gets I’m afraid.
Wait until later today
Looking forward to both Blackwings and the Lexus. Latter was highly requested and the former two are beautiful sedans.
They will probably be trash tier in-game (like the CTS-V) but that’s how it is. The Lexus might work with its bodykit.
Performance-wise the most interesting addition for is the bodykit on the ZL1. If it gets huge rear tires and good front downforce it might be something.
Aaand the Rallye parts may finally enable the RS200 as a class limit Rallye car.
Yeah, this is probably the best update we’ve seen so far. Blackwings are great to have, LC500 is awesome, some good bug fixes, new customization (those new BMW widebodies look amazing). The Rimac Nevera is probably the worst thing in this update and it’s still really cool. More like this in the future Playground.
Also, there is only one recycled car Playground must add.
The holy grail of lost Forza Horizon cars…
My saddest loss from FH3 to FH4 was the loss of the 2014 Range Rover. It looked beautiful, had a supercharger, and had a tri-blade trim that stood out from the crowd.
(My photo, from FM6)
The car was last seen in FH3. It’s been seven years and this model has never seen the light of day since. It’s not even in FM7 too.
I’m afraid it was replaced by the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR for good (just like, for example, 2015 Corvette Z06 replaced 2014 Corvette Stingray).
They are 2 different variants. The Sport SVR mentioned is just a shorter version of the Range Rover. There’s a big difference in size and the larger Rover shouldn’t have been cut. I mean it co-existed with both in FH3.
I’m guessing either off-road parts may have played a role or Forza Editions, or rather the playerbase disliking the car in general. Or maybe, licensing it has gotten complicated or someone didn’t want it represented.
Just when I thought the updates couldn’t get any worse, in terms of my not wanting to play for the season. I really dislike night in the game and there are no cars that are of any interest to me.
I am happy, though, for those of you who are looking forward to this season. There is just nothing in this season to make me want to participate.
This is my fav update
As one who was looking forward to it a little, and extended night, I am sad for those like you who don’t like night in the game. It’s been done poorly imo and I don’t think anything should be forced. Especially as some kind of (suggested) limited beta test, a year and a half into the “finished” game, in a PAID dlc.
Again it’s got shades of “snow” all over it for me. Obscure reference, never mind. Let’s just say it’s shaping up to disappoint one and all. SSDD. Thankfully with this final dlc I’m closer to closing the book on this sad chapter of FH. I don’t honestly believe they have the intent, let alone the desire and ablility, to turn it around.
Seems as though the extended night beta is more of a dovetail to the pseudo “Noches de Neon” theme, rather than anything related to player requested extensions.
Might make some of my “Miami Vice” liveries relevant.
We’ll see how it goes. Doesn’t seem like custom day/night (especially in solo mode) would harm anything, but it may be tied up in other constraints we can’t see.
Looking forward to the horizon parade (hopefully they don’t forget it)… and the new year lanterns (again)
Not a terrible update. Given the new bodykits, antilag and the returning radio station. And as far as the festival playlist its the usual stuff. But it does bugg me when the nevera gets added yet we have already more or less the same car but the concept version of it. Then they add 2 cadillacs that look so idential although they’re supposed to be different cars.
Given how we’ve received car content in the past… Talking about the Extreme E , the MG6 and the touring version of it. Not that they’re absolutely terrible cars but this update does follow the same trend.
This is a pretty much good update hope they will continue
“Fixed an issue with the Daily Wheelspins attached to owning the Hotel Castillo Player House which would sometimes unlock inconsistently”
It only took them 1 and a half years. Best. Company. Evaaaaaaaaa <3
Why can’t the extended night be a permanent feature considering that many players wanted this?
I’m actually fine with them extending the nights a little more, but I agree that 30 minutes in real time is overkill. 15 to 20 minutes would have been a little more appropriate.
I’m also glad all of the new cars are more easy to obtain this time around because I just have very little interest in what they added. It’s great that Playground finally listened and made an update with new cars only, but at the same time, I’m less than thrilled with their choices. Heck, I’ve actually made a habit lately of updating my personal car wishlist with more modern cars, and yet Playground somehow have added none of the cars that I’ve recently added to my own list. I know 4 cars isn’t a big window, but I feel like I’ve been wooshed really hard, which is probably why I’m taking more personal offensive to this update than 90 percent of the community for once.
