So, the game is already awesome. How does everyone feel about adding cops to the street races and midnight battles?
Maybe in future game installments or as a free DLC?

I think the idea is great. They already borrowed the “illegal street racing” from the NFS series which has died a long time ago and GTA is a 3rd person shooter, not even the same genre. the only difference is that they added traffic to the races. Why not add cops to the street race and some of the midnight battles? Another element of difficulty. They bust you and you have to do the race again, you win and since its high stakes and more difficult you get better rewards (and/or Cars)
Xbox one doesnt have Midnight club by the way…and those games are horrible, cant compare to horizon. Also the NFS series has been long dead for several years. Also not an option.

I think the suggestion is immature. And that’s putting it politely.
Horizon is the only place I can relax and enjoy cars on open roads without cops wanting to throw me in jail.
Forza is about cars and car culture not trying to make sure you follow road rules so you don’t have to spend the rest of your night running and hiding from constantly blaring sirens.
Keep cops out of my Horizon.
The problem I see with this is that once you add police to a street race (which would in theory make sense), it brings about other discrepancies.
The idea of street races is that they are not sanctioned and you are racing on the road with civilian traffic. This is all well and good until you look at free roam.
In free roam, there is civilian traffic which is just as at-risk of collisions with racers as they are in street races. Does this mean we need police in free roam too? Surely the civilians do not appreciate having their cars smashed up… I never did understand this, because this gives the impression that the “festivals” are actually quite criminal (which they would be IRL). Then there’s all that property damage.
Overall, I think adding police is a bad idea because once you add it to one aspect of the game, it wouldn’t make sense not to add it to another. You would basically add an unnecessary “dark side” to the festival. It would detract from the overall positive feel that the devs were going for.
Correct. You smash everything up in free roam anyways and no, you dont need cops in free roam. I see it as just another “mode”. The horizon series always adds a different variety of things to do. I’ll use the street races for example. They added this new “type” of race to Forza Horizon. This hasnt existed yet. so whats so special about it? Its just like all the other races except now you have traffic. The midnight battles are exactly like driving up behind someone and pressing x to challenge them one on one except now its now a “type” of race you can pick from the map and go one on one and win a car. I dont see the big deal with adding another type of race on top of the already existing idea of “these races aren’t sanctioned by the festival and are illegal”. All it does is add another level of challenge and/or fun to the races. You dont need it in free roam either. I mean you smash everything up already and the cops dont exist, you are also already “illegally” street racing anyways and no on cares. I dont know, I just think it would be another great addition to the game since all other arcade style games have gone the way of the dodo and remember, you dont need to do it if you dont want to but at least you have the option, which is what has always been great about the horizon series.
OR bring in some motorcycles…
I wish they would add cops and robbers in the same way in worked in Midtown Madness 3, where you section off a part of the map, start of with 1 cop and 8 robbers, and the cop has to run into the robbers to turn them into cops who then help hunt down the other robbers. its the absolutely best cops vs robbers Ive ever played. Would work great here too. I also wish they would add missions like taxi pickup and drop off (in a certain time), ambulance getting to the hospital (in a certain time etc), those missions in Midtown Madness were really great and would bring the game even more alive in Horizon.

The cops and robbers idea is essentially the same as infected. One person gets infected and once they infect others they go after the non infected users.
Isn’t that basically the Infected mode that’s already in the game?
Adding ambulance missions wouldn’t really make any sense at all. Who, at a festival would volunteer for the emergency services? There are already games that have these things. I’d rather Forza just focus on racing like it always has. Police, taxis and ambulances have no place in this game apart from in custom liveries.
I guess a cops and robbers themed playground is fine but wouldn’t it just be similar to infected.

IMO the bigger the game and more to do the more bang for your buck. Can’t see any harm in extra activities. People who want to do these, they do them and others don’t. One great addition would be pink slip racing since you manage to acquire a decent collection of cars to your garage in a short time.

Having police would be an absolute no-no for me. This isn’t Need For Speed, and sure as sin isn’t Grand Theft Auto.

Cops and running around with “heat” then getting caught an losing your car always ends in a rage quit, at least for me… scoring points for running through some guys fence and doin donuts in the field… priceless… lol

well in a perfect world I would want everything to be included in the game. but I like where PG are going with H3(played all 3, first time I enjoyed a horizon game is now) so I think their time is spent best by continuing the way they are already headed. without cops 
IMO…
They should make an emergency vehicle pack (American, Europe, and Australia vehicles) with other side activities like rapid response which would essentially be a sprint race with out collision (yes the idea comes from nfs hot pursurit) it has good potential with the driving physics of this game. Like others have said before the cops and crooks type of infection would be fun and just being able to do stupid things in these vehicles would be fun in general. People need to remember this is an arcade race game not built on reality accept it for what it is a good game.
