nah

Would be a good idea but then again the police ( if AI) would have impossible mode type cars (me trying to get away on a Chiron being chased by a standard crown vic and unable to lose them because there doing 250mph and being on rails around corners)
Would make an interesting Forza event though get to a certain point of the map without getting stopped by a fleet of transit vans and bmwā€™s (Because itā€™s Britain not America) while in a car under A class

Nope, and besides if I wanted to be chased by cops, iā€™ll just hop on NFS '15 or The Crew

Why would you want to add police chases in to a game built entirely around a legal, authorised racing festival? Sure there is a bit more property damage than there should be IRL, and the Street Scene events are ā€œunsanctionedā€, but it is still a legitimate event with sponsors, radio stations, advertising etc.

No.

this isnā€™t need for speed, no.

I would rather enjoy it. Especially with the set up of non can-sanctioned races, light bars, police siren, literally everything is there to make it.

I donā€™t see how the addition would make it akin to NFS. The game isnā€™t based around cops and villains. It would make a great story, especially since we already have the patrol uniform in game.

I feel like this would be better added as a ā€œcar chase modeā€ where the police are not officially mentioned and you are chased by normal cars. This would avoid the fact that the driving in-game is legal. I donā€™t see how this would be any the less fun.

Also, the British police are useless so I donā€™t think the chases would be very fun.

I remember they had cat & mouse in Motorsport 3/4, what a strange mode for a racing series.

They should take some ideaā€™s from Midtown Madness 3ā€™s online modes. ā€˜Hunterā€™ was a good one, one person started as the hunter and the rest of the room were prey (basically like survival/infected on H4) However on Midtown Madness 3 you got the entire map to use.

Thatā€™s the main problem with the non-race type modes on Horizon 4 is theyā€™re just too short and the area is too small, why not give us the whole map or let people customhouse areas, this game could have so much more.

I donā€™t do the tweetie.

But I support the idea, it would rectify all the ramming going on

I donā€™t use Twitter, but a garbage PvP police mode wouldnā€™t interest me at all. Nor would the typical PvE police chases make sense in the game. But they might be able to do something interesting and police car related with a Horizon Story.

Realistically this would just be a king mode but not restricted to a small area.

Would be nice to start this mode on the entire map and have as many participants as the server can manage. Use some of that 72 connected player power that was talked aboutā€¦

Instead of ForzaLive event, ForzaKing event, ā€œregister interest now with X, King event starts in 1 minuteā€¦ random player chosen to catch in 10, 9, 8, 7ā€¦ā€

YES, YES, and YESSSS! This should be relatively easy for PG to do as they already have a ā€œpursuit modeā€ in the game named convoy. They can duplicate then separate out that technology to have car chase you ad infinitum (as is done in Convoy) but in a head-to-head manner with the police car having a bit more chase capability than in regular convoy. The also already have a good few cars that can be turned into police pursuits (Crown Victoria, Dodge Charger SRT). This will be a cool feature indeed that should be activated similar to the manner in which Convoy mode is. Or you can have police cars cruising around the map that are activated into a chase mode when you pass them going over a designated speed the user should be able to set. So for example if I set a designated pursuit speed of say 125 mph and I pass a police cruiser on the map over that speed, a chase is automatically initiated. As you speed across the map evading, if you encounter any other police cruisers, they too join the chase. YEAH!!! Letā€™s revvvvv thing up a bit in FH4!!!

Police Mode is most likely never going to Happen, Playground themselves have Stated several Times they do not want Police Chases in Horizon, and thank goodness for that, as I feel Police Chases Ruin a Game.

If you want Police Chases, then Please kindly go and Play NFS instead of Trying to Ruin Forza Horizon. Thank You.

Cool photos and all, but, no, not gonna happen. Even if someone paid Playground Games a hundred million dollars to make it happen, it would conflict with the games existing licensing agreements with car manufacturers.

Good Point Zeem Frostmaw.

If I am Honest, I would not be Personally Surprised if some of the Companies featured in this Game MIGHT have some sort of POTENTIAL ā€œNo Police Chasesā€ rules in their Agreements, as I note there are Several Brands in this Game (and in The Crew 2) that are not in, Say, Need For Speed, so there is a POSSIBILITY that one or more of those Companies MIGHT have an Objection to the Police being Featured in Games that they have Licences with.

If that IS the Case (again, its only a Possibility) then I cannot Personally see those Companies being at ALL happy about Cops being added to the Game.

Unless gagged by a NDA licensing agreements are public information if the parties choose so. Since you sound like you have some information regarding them, I assume itā€™s public then. So which companies have ā€œno cops as part of their licensing dealsā€?

The flip side is, you donā€™t know anything about the licensing deals and youā€™re trying to make a case for yourself. Strawman-esque style. In which case donā€™t do that, itā€™s false information.

I would also be in the pursuit mode for players as a fun mode. A similar mode was in Test drive unlimited 2 (although the police performed there) and the whole addition to the crew with chases. I understand that this is a typical racing game without police and chases but a small mode to play with friends would be an interesting diversion of the game. You could add some new sirens and vehicle accessories. NFS does not focus so much on police chases as it used to be. At least I would like to be able to turn on and off the siren in the car the same with lighting. Add a new type of lighting or police sirens can also be added without new modes, and can add variety to the game. It does not spoil much, and many people can enjoy it;) Letā€™s remember that patrol uniforms are already available so maybe itā€™s worth adding more ā€œpoliceā€ accessories. I would be pleasantly surprised how a new chase mode or more accessories will appear.
