I’ll only support this if the police arrest all of the Drivatars in solo mode.
Naaaaaaahhhhh dont ruin Forza with cops
clutch63. Your Right, looking at Last Nights Post, it could Indeed be Interpreted as False Information, Not Good. I will be editing that post Immediately after Posting this.
However. I do notice that a Number of other Open World Racing Games have lost their Cops as of Recent, most Notably the Crew 2, which, going on the Trailers, appears to have originally had the Police, the fact Beat Cop Pedestrians and Empty Cop Cars turn up from time to time also support that Possibility in My Personal Opinion .
I note that the Crew 2 features Several Brands, Brands that are also featured in Forza, that are not Featured, in, Say, Need For Speed, which Does have Cops.
it does stand a chance then, that, POSSIBLY, one of more those Brands Might POTENTIALLY have “No Cops” in their Licencing Agreement.
I am not trying to make a “Strawman” (what Exactly IS a Strawman anyway?) Case for Myself, although I admit that Cops being added to the Game would cause Me to immediately cease Playing it as it would be Ruined for Me.
I also have no desire to Spread False Information, as a result I will be Editing My Previous Post to try and Prevent any further chance of a “False Information” conclusion being reached by any further readers, and I apologize in advance for any Annoyance it may have caused.
King Cobra, you may be right. I’m not sure of the exact agreement points either, so it could be possible there is a “no cops” section. Maybe our friend JONK could lend us his opinion, but till then it’s conjecture on both of our parts. Which is what a forum is for. Lol
Strawman, or strawman fallacy, is the impression of giving a rebuttal to an “opponents” opinion when no opinion was actuallt given. The opinion in this instance being the licensing agreements. I say -esque because it’s not EXACTLY a strawman fallacy, but it hints at it.
At the end of the day we all have different opinions and this is the best place to voice them, however the devs are in control so we can only voice our opinions and hope for the best. Cheers mate!
Why does it have to be Police chases?
I mean there are already tag type modes where you get chased or give chase.
I hate the notion that all car enthusiasts are criminals as portrayed in these idiotic movies and games.
And how would the chases actually work?
Is it a simple tag or is it ram and smash until the car is no longer driveable?
If it is a Multiplayer only mode maybe at least then all the griefers would gravitate towards that?
I imagine it would be a mix of King and Cat and Mouse.
It doesn’t give the notion that car enthusiasts are criminals. Some car enthusiasts want to be LEOs and this would suit them as well as me as well as other players.
Some cops are actually car enthusiasts. I had a talk with one of our State Troopers the other day we talked about my Dodge Magnum and he started talking about his Charger PPV and the STR8 he has at home. We also talked about how they’re more worried about the opium crisis then someone going 4 over with loud exhaust. It was a good conversation which proves my previous statement.
First, I’ve got no idea what the acronym or term LEO means.
Secondly, the games and movies that have cops chasing you or the heroes typically show or infer criminality on those driving the hotted up cars.
And I don’t see how police offers being car enthusiasts has anything to do with any of this. A mode where you are being pursued by Police infers you have performed a criminal act and are evading arrest.
So aside from acting out a role playing fantasy where you are a criminal running away from the law, I ask again, why does it have to be a Police Pursuit?
LEO is law enforcement officer.
Yes it’s portrayed in the movies as cops giving chase to villians. My point being was that in real life it’s not like that. If you follow traffic laws are you a villain? No.
To be honest, it’s not that deep. You’re trying to dig for a deeper meaning to a racing game mode. NFS never gave a reason why you’re chased by cops unless you hit one first.
Maybe some people playing want to be the police officer. There could be a 13 year old that strives to be a police officer and I bet he’d be ecstatic if he could do so on his favorite game.
Honda had a “No cop” clause with NFS Underground, its why Honda was in the first two games but not afterward once cop chases were reintroduced. Honda stated it was a public relations, public perception of the company that forced that move; Honda was getting bad press, as far as they were concerned, over all the street racing taking place at that time. If these kind of contracts have been known of in the past, its not that big of a leap to assume they are still around and relevant today as well.
Personally, before we get a “Cop chase” mode, I would prefer the ability to take photos at my “Houses” of more than one vehicle at a time. I own 2 castles, one with a parking lot across the street and I still can’t get a group photo of my collection. Would much rather see PGR material find its way into FH/M than any NFS material.
Yes we NEEEEED
I think it would be cool but at the same time no, maybe a cat an mouse thing that uses a bigger portion of the map or even the whole map but make it where its a private group setup, not the open world setup that we’re use to, I don’t want to be playing around and be worried about a cop when I’m trying to smash a big drift or working on skills point.
Sorry but can’t support this personally. Just my opinion but Forza is already getting too much like Need for Speed as it is, without adding anymore stuff like this. Just fix the racing side of things instead.
I’d love to have police pursuit mode added.
