Meguiars Car Pack Cars given up on installing

Hey guys,

I’ve had a weird bug happen to me, I’ve fully installed the latest update, and I’ve even bought the M3 DTM car, but every other car from the new pack has completely stopped on installation progress.

They’ve all been stuck on the same number (most about ~20%) for hours now, and no matter what I do I can’t get them to budge.

Anybody else had this? This is the first time I’ve had this happen, all other DLC’s have installed without incident but it appears I can’t have any cars from this pack which is rather frustrating.

I’ve got the same issue, 2 cars downloaded completely, the Alfa and BMW. All of the others are stuck at some random percentage. Tried a reboot and uninstalled the car pass, same result.

Yep sounds like exactly the same thing, even down to the Alfa and BMW. Weird as I usually play the game before the update is fully done, usually like 95% percent, and then manually install each car one by one, but this time I just let the installation run its course and finish 100%, but when I went on all but the BMW were still trying to install.

Yep, same story.

Joys, nice to see T10 are being stellar as usual…

T-10 isn’t at fault for a download issue…it’s not coming from their server.

I didn’t have a problem with installation, but the cars didn’t unlock for me. It’s asking me to use credits to buy them in game. Guess I should have waited to set if there were any glitches.

Firstly I would recommend never starting a game until installs are 100%. I know its meant to work but my advice is to always wait.

Try a cold reboot ie hold power button for 5 secs.

Try going to console settings and change between energy saving mode and instant on with auto game updates ie whatever setting you have now change it and reboot.

If it does not resolve uninstall the game and reinstall ie just uninstall the game but leave the addons alone.

Well if you’d read my post you’d see that is exactly what I did do, and it didn’t work.

I’ve tried a cold reboot which did absolutely nothing.

I can’t uninstall the game as my internet connection is appalling so it’d take me about a day to reinstall.

I don’t really see why this problem is here in the first place, especially on the last DLC.

95% does not equal 100%.

I agree this problem should not exist. I am just suggesting the usual troubleshooting steps.

Well apparently none of you actually read the post.

It doesn’t matter anyway, I’ve just signed on this morning and all of my save data is gone.

EDIT: Oh no, fortunately whilst I had to do all of the intro stuff again, my garage is still with me, however I appear to have lost all single player progress as well as all of my money.

AND the DLC is still stuck on the same percentages.

Lovely.

Be lucky you have gotten that far. I can’t get the update at all despite trying every recommended step. I don’t see the car pack in the store for purchase, only the ingame marketplace and when I try to purchase it there the only option I have is to buy the 49.99 car pack. Been trying since noon and am officially giving up for the night, I’ll try again tomorrow.

I’m not sure what’s going on with T10 or Microsoft lately but this is the 4th content update that’s done this or something similar and I suspect it has to do with server loads(it usually does). I’m not sure why the don’t release the Data a week early that way the server load on actual release day isn’t redlined. Many companies do this to prevent this exact issue.

Mine are listed as free. Even the previous dlc cars I’ve already retrieved for free are once again listed as free. The cars on this current DLC all have arrows on their icons and clicking one brings up a % downloaded but that percent remains the same. My initial load and the several after all said completed to 100% before I opened the game to discover the partially loaded cars. I’ve uninstalled and cold rebooted and reinstalled several times to the same result.

If in the Dashboard, you go into Games & Apps, you can see the Queue where a download would be. If it is not 100% complete, let it do so. Remember, the Xbox LIVE (not Turn 10) distribution system is to pause automatically when there is other user-instigated activities. Wait until the download is completed, not when it says “Ready to Play” because that pauses the download again.

If you have done all that. As has been suggested, get in the Dashboard, hold the X button on the Xbox One console for about five seconds until it fully shuts down. Then remove the power cord from the wall plug or at least the wall side of the power pack so there is no power to the pack. Wait about five minutes, reinstall the cord to power the power unit, and then start the One as you normally do.

Next, you should get a green screen as the system does a check of itself to make sure everything is okay, then check to see if you have the FM5 download pending or queued again.

I just downloaded it now. I went to add ons, installed the “Meguiars Car Pack” Then it said, “This game needs an update” It did its thing and Bob’s your Uncle! The cars are now available for me to buy.

Worked fine for me this morning. Got all of the cars. I always quit the game prior to an update and never start it back up until the download is 100% done.

Got the ZZ Top version of the Ford Coupe. That should be a blast.

I have the same problem.

You have the same problem? Did you try what I posted in this thread, or did you overlook it?

I did it all and still have the same problem.

Think Turn10 give us a solution to those affected? or maybe I have to start thinking in Forza forget after five games purchased?
