Hi
I have a problem on that latest update.
When I select Nurburgring to drive on, it says installing and is not moving past 97%…
Have tried restart of game and console. Both normal and taking out the power supply…
Get out of the game. Go to my games and apps. On left side go down to queue. Go across to the fm5 update and press menu. Is there an option to restart the download?
Make sure you’re exited from the game, sign out of Xbox LIVE. Restart the console, then go My games & apps in the Dashboard. In the left column you’ll see Games, Apps and Queue. Look in the latter. If it is still queued at 97% let it sit. Don’t do anything else on the One.
The Xbox One system will suspend downloads if there is other activities going on. Give it a few minutes. Mine seemed to pause about 96-97%, then slowly resumed. I disregard the “Ready to play” and let the downloads (whatever they are) complete fully before launching the game. This one seemed to say ready at about 16-17% which would be silly to attempt to use with parts missing/not downloaded yet.
There is nothing in the queue section… I only get the installing 97% message when trying to select the track in free mode. In online game it says I do not have set track installed.
But I can try your suggestions afterwards…
Same for me. Also tells me I’ve successfully installed ring booster pack, but formula Ford and maser aren’t purchasable. Had no problem buying Audi or brabham
I got it 100% downloaded but the game will not go farther than the Microsoft Studios screen without just going black and freezing. Even after multiple restarts
Do the magic reset on the Xbox One: Clear out of the game. In the Dashboard log out of Xbox live. Now hold the X button on the console until it shuts down. Remove the external power pack cord from the wall plug-in. Go do something for about 3-5 minutes. Restart the console as you normally do.
You should get a green screen first, checking for the proper items on the system which will change to the regular white symbol.
Now see if the download is there. If NOT, contact Xbox Support. The download delivery system belong to them.
I have done everything you suggested my feathered friend, including contacting Xbox support… I was talking to them for 2, yes that’s TWO hours! Trying to get the Nurburg Booster pack to work, I had MS refund me the Season Pass, THEY uninstalled it from my XB1, I then repurchased the Season Pass… all the DLC worked fine apart from the Booster pack, all the cars are still frozen mid download at the exact same percentage they froze at last night… and guess what I was told after TWO hours? Go back to FM.net forums as it is the pack causing the issues (I was told they have had a lot of people contacting them with the same problem), not the MS delivery system, so what do you suggest I and apparently many other Forza 5 players with this problem do now? I thangu in advance
Contact Xbox Support. They get paid to help, and it is their delivery system.
What we need to do is realize we can’t just jump in and start doing something else (or playing the game) because is pauses the download and maybe can corrupt the install. We need to curb our eagerness to take a look for a while.
I think that is the lesson learned from this experience.
The Xbox I now turned off, and taken out the power supply. Then I shall see in the morning what is happening and contact the support theme.
The 'Ring “booster pack” is part of the overall download for the tracks. It is not a separate download, and you don’t need to initiate a download for it.
So why is there a standalone download option for the 'Ring booster pack if it’s part of the track pack we have to download to play the game… and why did Xbox support not know this and wasted 2 hours of my time having me delete the season pass and car packs? I am really confused now?
Didn’t you even read my post? 2 hours I was talking to them and they sent me back here, and as a parting comment told me if T10 can’t fix the problem I have with the pack, that I’d have to go back to them and get a refund for the season pass?!?
