Sorry Moss, long day at work. I’d say an 8.5 has you going in the right direction for sure. I’m thinking anywhere from 8.0-8.5 should be the goal. I think most of my older S class tunes are 8.4-8.5.

Im hoping that there wont be the 1 or 2 cars that are way faster than the rest.

Tried the syclone… Ran a 8.325 w it, mostly 8.358s though I think there are several cars capable of the 8.4 range.

Heading out of town for the weekend, won’t be around the Xbone for a few days. I’ll try to keep up on this thread and up date anything needing updated. Plenty of time to get your cars built and tuned up, as well as anyone still looking to join up. Still a few spots left!!

Still some room for more, deadline for entries is the 13th. Take a break from chasin’ ghosts, lol. Have some 1/4 mile fun!!

Today is deadline day so after building a few different cars I’m going to run with the Plymouth Prowler. The Dart I built had a significantly better 0-100 time but it didn’t show up in my quarter mile times. I’ve no idea why!!!

Hey Moss. Thats cool with me if you wanna run with that. I think the deadline is just for people to sign up. Still a couple weeks for your car and tune. Up to you, I know there’s alot of other comps going on. If you guys want to just start with the tune sharing as you get them done, I’ll run them whenever there’s a few to give a go.

The entry deadline date has passed, looks like we’ve got 7 signed up for this. I have the date for having your tune set for Aug 27th. If anybody gets something they’re happy with before then, by all means post it up and we can start running them.

If theres anybody else that’s still wants in, I don’t see that being an issue as long as the tune is in by the 27th.

And as far as the Dart, for some reason forza has some weird thing where Dodges and Pontiacs are just slow. Makes no sense. 426 Hemi should be amazing.

Hey Zepp,

Well, with vacation coming up on Thursday (for a week in Hawaii…YEAH!!), I figured I’d need to get my first drag effort out there. Man, what a learning experience! I’m not expecting much, but it is a fun car. And I have to thank you for your drag tips in your Drag Tuning Walkthrough post. I’d have been totally lost without it!

My entry is a 1970 Buick GSX using the 5.9 V8. The original “bad to the bone” Buick!!! At least it should be, but I don’t know about my tune.

Launch is at about 5,000 rpm…any higher and the tires are up in smoke! Let the tires chirp into a small wheelie, then get on the gas. I don’t think it is quite at 8.5s though! But I love the car.

It is out there as “S Drag” with MSS Drag Comp in the description. I’ll look forward to your feedback, Bud!

BTW: I tried an El Camino and a 2002 Corvette, both with the 5.9. I thought the Corvette would be my “secret weapon”! Hah! Neither of these were close to the Buick! It is funny, the Vette weighs less, with the same power, but just doesn’t hook up like the Buick. Oh well!

Thanks for hosting this!

Have a great time, man!! And thank you for jumping in on this. I think its a good break from circuits. And I love drag racing, lol.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ll do just fine. I’m very happy that there was at least a thing or 2 that has helped from my walkthrough thread. Again, thanks for signing up. Have a great vacation!

Hey, quick question. Do youz guyz have Dom’s Charger?? If not, not a problem. Just askin’.

Not sure which one that is Zepp. If it comes with the Fast & Furious pack, that’s the only pack I haven’t bought.

I think it was a stand alone car for getting the fast not furious movie. Mine runs 8.3-8.4’s, sounds cool. Like I said, no worries either way. Plenty of other rides to pick from.
