I’m new, come in, I’m here to ask how to solve the problem… in FH5… I’m at the first outpost in Mexico, with a new profile… but I’m having problems with the manual gearbox, at a certain point it changes on its own, before I don’t did… and from the new version this problem occurs… can it be solved…?

sorry but can you tell me how I can send you a video, with the joistk that I show you while I hold the trigger and when I set the manual gearbox? I want to clarify that I am not referring to the manual gearbox with clutch otherwise I would have said manual gearbox with clutch… I am referring to the manual gearbox… what should the manual gearbox do? the manual gearbox should only be controlled by the PAYER who controls it by deciding when to press the button to change when you press the to move to the next gear, otherwise it remains in that gear for life… Ok? Instead it also changes when the game wants, it shouldn’t do so because we set the MANUAL change… OK? when in the settings you decide to insert the manual gearbox and you return to the game… THE GAME CHANGES THE GEARS EVEN THOUGH I HAD ONLY PUT ON MANUAL GEARBOX WITHOUT CLUTCH, UNLIKE THE AUTOMATIC GEARBOX,… OK?.. listen, try setting manual gearbox in your Forza Horizon 5 profile, try changing every gear and tell me if the game changes your gears too even though you only put manual gearbox without brake… then answer me yes it does no no it does it for me… if it doesn’t do it for you I’ll ask for a cloud reset because the problem persists despite continuing to reinstall fh5… if it does it for you too then it’s a problem with the latest version… if it doesn’t it’s doing it to you, it’s only doing it to me… and I’m requesting a cloud reset… Yes, but how can I make a video that shows you that I hold the joystick in my hand and that when I have to change I hold the camera in my hand then you leave it to put your hands in the joystick to change… yes I could buy a GoPRO for the price of $250 I put it on my head then I hold the joystick in my hand…then I go to YouTube I register and insert the video I have created…just to show that the gear changes itself…

It’s also been listed as Known for ages too, I think it was fixed briefly after like a year but came back not long after.

but if I enter the game. I start to leave and sometimes he even puts me into R… I’m in drifit I accelerate in 1,2,3,4,5, at a certain point I put it into 6 I put it into 1.2 and it’s unworkable it’s a bag …and something that’s in the cloud folder… only does this when I’m online. when I’m in single I can keep all the gears 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9… it revs up for every gear I insert but it doesn’t change on its own it always stays in that one gear that I decide to insert… I’m not talking about manual gearbox with brake I’m just talking about manual gearbox…
You just need OBS with an overlay?
(unless you’re on XB in which case I’ve no idea how to…)

However, I purchased the FH5 4 days ago and I’m having these problems… I sent a ticket to do a Cloud restore… And no, it’s possible that they still aren’t responding…
Hi, I’m replying because I just made a video of the problem, its very annoying since I cant drift due to it, or cant drive normally because it automatically changes the gears for me. Today is 30/12/2024, hope this gets fixed soon.
Forza Horizon 5 - Gear Change Bug Showcase
I think I know what is going on. In my case these shifts happen in this weird situation when game tries to connect you to Horizon Life but disconnects in a couple of seconds. There is a “Link” button under your map which can be an indicator of this happening. When it connects, “Link” button is white and highlighted and in the moment of disconnection it turns gray. Also my trajectory on the road and all signs(Horizon Sites, races etc.) kinda refresh too when it connects or disconnects. These shifts didn’t occure in solo or “properly connected” horizon life.
My solution to connect to Horizon Life was just to stay in one place and wait. It connects and disconnects for about 2-4 minutes and then connects properly but it also almost immediatelly connected me after I finished a race with bots.

hey, thanks for the solution, well kind of, I can play on solo and it wont happen but it ruins the purpose of racing friends, I guess I’ll wait for forza to fix this one
